Melvin Coming to CO

I know I probably shouldn't admit this, but I was blind to the label and bought it anyway.

Hubert canned 4/13...
Guess what? Its still incredible- may even like it better than the 5/19 6er I plowed through last week!

 

Saw some 4/13 today and some 5/19. I took the 5/19. But nice to hear it holds up well

 

It's amazing how different 2x4 is on tap vs. cans. First time I had it was from a growler from the brewery in November. Had so much Hop flavor and aroma. Had it multiple times on tap at the brewery and taste/smell was similar. The canned version (and early release bombers) is still good but the malt
just takes over and lacks the aroma that draft versions have. Wonder why.

 

Had Killer Bees last night... Excellent- lite and well balanced, yet not really lacking in flavor. Almost makes me think I like the 'blonde ale' style...

I'm going to be really surprised some day if Melvin ever disappoints me!

 

Trying to get some 3 Way IPA into CO, stay tuned...

Going to be headin' out to Colorado in about a week (Morrison area). Will I be able to grab some Hubert, MPA, and 2x4? Any tips on where good places to snag it would be much appreciated.

 

Yep! Check out Small Batch (not far off I-70) or Mile High Wine and Spirits.

 

I've spotted and purchased Hubert & 2x4 at Argonaut on Colfax and have seen it just about everywhere - big stores and small.

Hubert & 2x4 at the liquor store I'm moonlighting at for shits and giggles and education, Liquor Barn in Englewood. Been out of Melvin for 2 weeks, somebody get on that. (With the employee discount I personally hit the Melvin pretty hard, also recommended the shit out of it to anybody who asked for suggestions on an IPA)

 

Casper Wyoming would love some of that.

Applejack is probably ten minutes from Morrison and always has Melvin.

 

Thus far my thoughts on Melvin:
Melvin IPA - trying this weekend
Hubert MPA - Holy wow this shit is good
2x4 DIPA - OMWASDWDAWFSDASD delicious
Triple IPA - WAYYYY too bitter.

 

I also asked the bartender at Crafty Fox that does their beer purchases if they will be getting any. He said he wasn't sure.

My only reply was, "If you can, do it"

Drunken Master is at Crafty Fox, or at least it was in Thursday and it was amazing!
