I have a feeling that's the future of dank hazy juicy DIPA's. Just my opinion. I don't like it. Never did. But I've been saying here all along about the increase of these crazy IPAs. Sooner or later it's going to hit that twenty mark. And Noble put it there for all. So will the Monks follow Noble in making it $20 or 22 for a 4 pack? Time will tell. Will the dank beer nerds keep paying the $$$'s (with credit cards)? Hell, I'm already spending $700 a month on beer. And 90% of it is on ipas.

$20 a four pack is quite pricey but it's certainly a step in the right direction compared to the $9 bombers I'm used to from Noble. And besides, a Noble/Cellarmaker collab is like a wet dream come true.

Yes. I just came from Noble earlier to pick up bottles of Galaxy and Love It at $9ea. And yes we will pay the 9 for good beer. Will I pay 9 or 10 for a bottle of GF Nelson? Hell Fuc NO. When will I say no more? I will pay 10-12 for showers. 15? Hell Fuc NO.

lol, shirts are whales now too. Just waiting for a new section of the forum: "Post your shirts for trade!"

So it's not turbid and murky like both Noble and Cellarmaker have been claiming?

I'll call my shot right here- Tomorrow afternoon you all will be furious as to how 500 4pks could be sold within a couple hours, at 2pm on a Thursday. When it comes to this turbid IPA marketing trend the dudes who will come out of their east-coast-trading-woodwork for this, with their 1 or 2 mules, will surprise everyone. Except me.

PS- regarding price points (of the 4pk variety... not comparing to 22oz formats of other beers) of these murky Vermont IPA's... anyone find it funny how they're priced so much higher for beer that is EASIER/FASTER to be packaged? No filtration, no letting sit in bright tank, faster time to canning.... Ingredient cost? Pshhh. I understand these beers are dry hopped at a higher rate, but many cut out the late hop or whirlpool additions... I don't see ingredients accounting for the price increase. Not-so-Monkish and now Noble are killing it in marketing.

Yep and Noble is happy to cash in on the hype and they are unabashedly aware of this fact and it's actually off putting to me, charging $20 a 4pk, with their #allthehypemoneycanbuy hashtag. I know they like to have fun and it's usually pretty light and I get a laugh but im just not buying into the whole thing this time..hope they do other, more accessible releases in the future.

    Yup. Also #becausewecan

I really doubt any of their future releases will cost any less

I'm confused, you have no problem paying $9-$10 for Noble 22oz bombers, but $20 a 4-pack, the equivalent of $6.87 a bomber is too pricey?

For the record, the insanity at the Monkish releases makes me glad Noble is going this route. Raise the price and lower the limits will get the beer into the hands of more people, not just those who are willing to wait 5 hours for an IPA.

Everyone's right, guys. This price is ludicrous and we need Noble to understand that, so lets boycott this release fellas. Who's with me?

Lol to all the people complaining about these beers without even trying them. Most people aren't buying them because they're trending or the marketing is SOOO good. The fact is they are tasty. I haven't had one Monkish PA/IPA/DIPA or whatever that I didn't like. In fact, it's made me not even want to trade for he east coast stuff anymore. I'm looking forward to this collab because I enjoy both CM and Noble's stuff.

As far as price, here's a $/oz conversion for those complaining about prices.

    $16 for a 4pk for 16oz cans - $0.25/oz
    $18 for a 4pk of 16oz cans - $0.28/oz
    $20 for a 4pk of 16oz cans - $0.31/oz
    $7 for a 16.9oz bottle - $0.41/oz
    $9 for a 22oz bottle - $0.41/oz
    $9 for a 16.6oz bottle - $0.54/oz
    $12 for a 22oz bottle - $0.55/oz

It's worth what people and neckbeards are willing to pay. Would I pay $20 for a four pack of something I've never had? Sure, if they have a solid track record like HPB and Noble.

In a land of $8 to $10 "specialty" bombers released IPAs (Beachwood, Noble, Bottle Logic ... even Cellarmaker in SF ... etc), IMHO this is a solid price coming in at less than $7 per 22oz bomber.

Why are all of you people complaining about $5/16oz cans when you have no problem paying $6/12oz pours from the tap?
