Just a quick note to thank everyone for supporting the event by purchasing tickets. The VIPS sold out in record time -- officially 70 minutes -- and General Admission sales are running well ahead of last year. Overall in two full days of ticket sales we've sold 69% more than 2015 and 139% more than 2014.

We hope to be able to announce the beer list in early July. Some of the beers that brewers have told us they plan to bring this year are very exciting. You're in for a memorable experience enjoying rare, exotic and vintage beers from some of America's top craft brewers.

A limited number of General Admission tickets are still available via ETIX.com. If you have friends talking about attending tell them they need to act soon.

Saaayyy....whaaaat? I was on at 10:03 and the VIP were "not available". I refreshed several times with same result.

Same Here. Not sure the VIP would of been worth the extra $50?? I did think about it, but after SourFest, the day before, and it selling out in as quick as it did, I guess we will have to settle for GA. See Everyone in October.

Tickets were popping up for an hour. But you had to be fast when they did pop up

They "popped up"? I thought "unavailable" meant sold out, and quit searching. Looks like I won't be going this year

"Sold out" means sold out :astonished: "Unavailable" apparently means they might be available later.

Having a purchase limit of 10 probably didn't help spread the wealth.

This is my ONLY gripe about Rare Beer. Why are individuals allowed to purchase 10??

    You won't consider going peasant-level?

That's like switching back to coach once you've been in first class

Having flown first class two years ago and switching back to economy last year, I didn't feel as though I missed anything other than some finger foods being handed out by Breck staff members early. I got over that quickly...

Ended up trying literally every beer there (note: I was like the fifth peasant in line) and many of the great ones several times.

I totally agree that you don't really miss anything. I would buy peasant level if that was the only option

Excited to attend for the first time this year. Also really excited to be pouring our beer. Sounds like the list will be published soon, but I have it on good authority that WeldWerks will be pouring something fun. Perhaps something with coconut .

10 may be a bit much, but more than 2 makes it easier to ensure your whole group gets the same level of tickets.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the 10 ticket limit does not appear to have influenced the "unavailable" message. There were 140 orders for the 250 VIP tickets, so the average purchase was less than 2 tickets per order. We had several 5+ ticket orders in the mix, most of them from people who've attended the event for multiple years with groups of friends. The unavailable message came up when people had purchased or had in their carts tickets that equaled the 250 VIP limit. They have a set period of time to complete the purchase, and if they don't, those tickets again become "available." In the first six minutes 200 tickets actually sold and 50 were in carts. During the next hour tickets came in and out of the carts, with sales gradually getting completed until all the VIPs were sold. Obviously a number of folks started to make purchases that were never completed. Those who kept trying were able to score VIP tickets well after the initial "unavailable" message was posted up to the point the show actually was sold out. On the General Admission side, the average sale running is slightly above two tickets per order. There have been more 10 ticket maximum orders of GA tickets then there were of VIPs. We are well ahead of last year's ticket sale pace and we appreciate the support.
