This is what all "session" beers should aspire to be

Played my best round of golf of the year this morning. Unfortunately, so did my opponent. I was four down with five holes tom play, then won the next four holes. Even going to 18, he won with a par when I couldn't get up and down from a bunker. Fun round. A little Tributary Pale Ale at the 19th Hole.

I picked up some supplies at Spruce Creek Provisions on my way home, and am now really enjoying Eviltwin Meme Jesus Plus, a wonderful imperial stout.

Hope everyone is having a great Hump Day!

Random stop at a store I only visit a coupla times a year (Shoreline in Huntington) netted me a beer I've been waiting on since I saw @LeperJim's post in April...

I've had all the Duvel Tripel releases: Citra (2012) - the one I rated most highly - though I can't claim to accurately remember what it tasted like - but being as how I still rate Citra as one of my top hops, its probably an accurate review; Sorachi Ace (2013) - I recall going back for a couple of these; Mosaic (2014) - my favorite overall - the way the Mosaic worked with the other hops and their yeast was spot-on for me; and Equinox (2015) - the least inspirational, didn't really catch my attention, even though the hop itself may draw comparisons to both Citra and Mosaic. I think I only bought one 4-pack last year.

I'd like to see 'em feature a New Zealand hop in there one year (Green Bullet?), or something German, like Hallertau.

I get peppery citrusiness and some sweet herbal/floral elements. Amply carbonated, medium-bodied, but light on the tongue. So far the Experimental Hop HBC 291 isn't blowing me away, meaning, it's "merely" on par with their standard Duvel product, maybe a little brighter and more sharply citric, and a bit lighter on the body-feel.

Of course I'm getting a second opinion... :stuck_out_tongue:

    Hungry?

    Cheers...

Isn't it funny how you get a glass that you just love! That Weihenstephan glass is darn nice. =)

Back to emptying the fridge of the summer hop parade. It's hard to believe the Enjoy By date is almost here. Time be flying! Tasting divine on another beautiful sunny day while watching Cubs vs Reds on the patio.

I had a fasting doctors appointment this morning, so a late start. The video below is a shoutout to all of the dumbasses I dealt with this morning. Apparently, being 21 gives you all the answers to every problem and makes you an expert on everything.

A little strata and a new to me beer; Wichita Brewing Company's Mass Hysteria Rye.

Followed that with another new to me beer; Ska's Modus Mandarina.
