Very nice English brown/ESB kind of hybrid ale. Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nutty, and light roasted malt; with herbal/floral/peppery hops; and light plum/apple yeast fruits. Moderate herbal/spicy bitterness; medium bodied; balanced creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness; zero lingering hop astringency. Really robust and balanced between UK malt and hop flavors. I would call it closer to an ESB, but it also could be classified as a Northern English brown identically. Either way it’s really delicious, and I would grab it again. 3.88

Looks like I get to be the first reviewer on either site. This is a three beer blend: sour stout, sour golden, and Flemish Brown ale aged spontaneously in casks for another 18 months. This is really damn good! Great head retention and lacing for a sour. Aromas and flavors of big tart cherry, cranberry, green apple, red grape, pepper, leather, vanilla, toasted oak, and light vinegar/funk; with balanced chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar malt notes. Moderate tartness and tannic oak spice on the finish; medium bodied; balanced tannin/acidity and grainy/vanilla oak creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tannin/acidity; with zero astringency. Definitely a unique sour, but it never comes off as being out of balance in malt, oak, or wild/lacto notes. Very smooth drinking with the balanced acidic mouthfeel; only 5%. Arbor’s sour program has always been impressive. 4

My first post on the revamped site! It sure looks a lot different on my phone. I'll reserve judgement until I use it over a period of time. A couple of two day old Zombie Dust's should help. Another sunny and hot day, but the humidity is starting to ease it's oppressive grip. Have a happy Friday, you've earned it.

With everything going on this week I can't seem to get this song out of my head. :slight_frown:

-LIC Beer Project IPA this afternoon in the nearest saloon. A soft, cloudy IPA with a lot of grapefruit and mango, but little hop bite.

Yo BA's! Now coming up on 3:30 here in quite-hot NOVA & I'm back home from a nice trip to Caboose Brewing in Vienna, VA. Some quick shots from the venture:
The Zoo is a nice little Berliner. The Pils is an exceptionally nice German-style. The last two are both solid IPAs, one in the hoppy Pale Wheat vein, the other in the more balanced-by-malt vein.

    Later:

Wrapping up a quality Saison, with additional 'swag' pictured :-)

So...seemed like a fun idea to go with a full-on Caboose theme now that I'm home. Currently sipping this brilliant Stout:

It's been a good day so far...happy tunes:

As always- Drink up & drink on, my fellow advocates!
