Not sure how long this has been in the fridge but I'll guess more than a year. Probably the last one.

Yes, great on my iPhone, but on my laptop half an image fills the entire screen.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good day so far. I got out mountain biking for a birthday ride at 10AM, unlimited energy today for some reason. I wasn't even tired when I was done. I probably could have gone for another hour; but I figured I had a fun ride, rather not test myself and hit the damn endurance wall in the middle of a trail. Only one small mishap during the ride; my chain dropped and got stuck in between my rear hub and cassette when I was on a climb in the big gear. Took a bit of work to get it back on. No new beer haul today, but i did get a mix 6 pack at the corner. I have a ton of things that need reviewed first.

    Reviews:

Very nice DIPA. Fantastic head retention and lasting lacing. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, apricot, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Large amount of pine/herbal/rind bitterness; medium-full bodied; with a very sticky/resinous, creamy, and slightly slick mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness from resins, increasing through the glass; leading to some light lingering hop astringency; but not unpleasant levels. Some warming alcohol on the finish; but still very smooth. Definitely a pine party lovers IPA. Chinook and Simcoe are super resinous, so I already knew what to expect reading the label. 3.81

Still got a handful of these to get through. Just got a dry hopped variation yesterday. This one is really nice. Weak but balanced aromas; flavors were on point. Tart green apple, lemon, pear, white wine, oak, vanilla, hay, straw, musty funk, pepper, leather, and light vinegar; with some light wheat/crackery malt. Moderate tartness and tannic oak spice; medium bodied; nice acidity and light wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderate acidic dryness. Very crisp, refreshing, and drinkable with balanced acidity. Sea Buckthorn is still the best one I've had out of 6, with Sour Cherry being 2nd place. This one was unique in that it had those most oaken vanilla character I can recall. Malt character levels are lower than most, but still not the driest or acidic of the bunch. 3.93

This is awesome! Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, brown bread, leather, tobacco, and light chocolate/coconut/butterscotch; with balanced raisin, plum, apple, and fig yeast fruits. Touch of herbal/peppery hops. Balanced bourbon/tannic oak spice and light hop bitterness against sweetness; lightly drying and increasing through the glass. Full bodied creamy/silky/slick mouthfeel; with light hop/barrel stickiness. Very smooth and mildly warming ABV for 12.5%. I love English barleywines so much(top style along with Tripels); and this is a really impressive one for sure. Lots of barrel character without being too boozy; with nice yeast influence without being overbearing to the malt profile. I look forward to Trillionaire, then another remix next year. New English barelywines have been fairly rare until more recently vs American. 4.15

A coworker of mine brought this back for me from a recent business trip to Chicago.
It's been a couple years since I've had this, just as good as I remember.

I go back to work in the morning so today has been a family day. We've been in and out of the pool all day & this evening we played tourist and went to play miniature golf & stopped for frozen yogurt, good times! For my 2nd beer of the day, on a Saturday really?:slight_frown:, I went with what I thought would sit the best on top of the yogurt.

I was glad to grab this in Southern Illinois as it did not make it into Missouri as Ballast Point had just entered our state a couple of months prior. This is a nice take on a classic. The peppermint aroma clears my sinuses. The peppermint gives the mouth a cooling sensation. Think Thin Mint Victory At Sea. Wish I had vanilla ice cream. That would be a badass float. If you like dessert beers you need to get this next winter!

#2 is a highly original move to Half Acre Daisy Cutter. Just a tad up the scales @5.2% after that P'works Lil citra. -The Half Acre variant also has a stronger taste backbone to it, will have to compare side by side, blind, along with some other pale ales. The last BA magazine feature on the decline of pales has me wanting to hit the store hard tomorrow....
Adios, hasta...whenever. Oh...and allez les bleus!
