One last beer. And one last wine. If I had to guess, the pic is sideways. A couple of smart dudes figured out how to post pics using a n iPhone and the pics would be ok. I did not learn.

I've found turning the phone sideways when you take the pic usually does the trick, sir. But your pic came out fine on my phone the way you did it.

Really nice stuff. Flavors of tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, guava, papaya, tangerine, citrus zest, and light pine; with some light caramel, wheat, and bready malt balance; floral/grassy hops and hay/funkiness in there too. Fair amount of acidic tartness with light pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with balanced acidity and wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light increasing acidic dryness. Really refreshing! Not much of an IPA; more of a session sour with hop flavors. Not much bitterness, but the juicy tropical hop and lacto notes are delicious.

Delicious as usual. Flavors of big mango/melon juiciness; with hops notes of grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine; with some light caramel/toasted bread malt; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind bitterness; with a crisp and sticky/resin mouthfeel with a fair amount of creaminess in balance. Moderate dry, never astringent. I liked this just a notch better than the base beer. The mango seemed to up the body and overall sweetness a fair amount; providing better bitterness balance. Glad this is year round, I have been buying this fairly consistently as singles.

Outstanding IPA as always, glad they are back in the state. Flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with honey/biscuit/light caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Medium pine/rind bitterness; balanced sticky/resins and light creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderate dryness, highly drinkable, zero hop astringency. Classic Columbus/Cascade/Centennial hop profile. With this, Alesmith, and Ballast Point all available now; I have been buying Cali IPAs over local favorites way more often. Glad all include bottle dating in one form or another.

Everytime I see your posts, I get hungry. But it's too late and I'm too lazy to eat. Threw out my back deadlifting this week. Do that to my back about once a year. This time was lifting 260 pounds. Last time was picking up my daughter who was 25 pounds at the time. I'll be out of the gym for two weeks, most likely:angry::angry::angry:. I do that about once a year and I hate it.

Hopefully the last beer I'll be drinking in a hotel for a while, checking the UFC results and reading more Mr. King while I'm at it.

Drinking on my very first home-brewed beer. It was an Amber Ale extract kit. I have to say I am a little underwhelmed, there are no off flavors, but it's definitely bland and watery. Gonna let this one sit and bottle condition for a few more weeks and pray for improvement :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm making mashed potatoes right now to go with a potential 2nd beer. Gotta be careful with deadlifts! Set that back and keep tight the whole time and start from a dead stop. I was doing deads today with 225 and am aiming for 250 by the end of the month.

Good advice. I was going for 13 reps and feeling good. I was going too fast and started to move forward at rep 6. I made the fatal error of trying to adjust on the fly instead of resetting. On rep 7 I felt the pop on my lower left side. I need to take your advice and reset at every rep.

Did not know you were a weight lifting fan. Maybe it was noted before but hey, I forget things. @5EKF discuss weight training more than beer. To be clear, I am an old (64) power lifter that was not too bad in my day. Deadlifts was my strength. 480 at the 165 pound class before steroids.

Having said that, which seems like bragging, I have hurt my back a number of times. One thing I have learned--let it heal! Another thing I learned is forgo stiff legged deadlifts. And lastly, despite your young and enthusiastic age, only do heavy deadlifts once a week. During that period do light auxiliary lower back excercises. And most importantly, only drink good craft beer?

Seriously, I would be happy to discuss any weight training questions or issues you have. It keeps me alive!
