boss sent me home with some fish on Friday, made one of the goodies today. missed out on Free Will Chasing the Dragon bottles, but was more than happy to grab a growler. one of my favorite beers, only wish i didn't have to kill it by myself the next 48hrs, it's a dangerous one. hope everyone had a nice weekend

 

Until today I hadn't experienced a third encore since Bruce Springsteen 1978.



Actually, I think there were usually four encores that year. I recall Bruce collapsing and being taken off on a stretcher after the house lights came up and the roadies start breaking the set down. It was weird / cool seeing a standing ovation with all the lights on, but he and the band came back out and played more. All part of the show no doubt, but damn memorable! Got home pretty late that night.

This is a pretty good summer beer in its own right. I just would not call it a Gose.

Been away for quite a while. Nothing against you fine BA's, just needed a change in routine. Some obvious, but nice changes around here. This one's a winner. Rough Tail Everything Rhymes With Orange IPA. Faint on the orange and on point with the hops. Cheers!

 

Cooking up some stir fry with the new soy glaze that I bought and this the result with a taste of mango wheat beer from Evil Genius.

After got home, buddy returned from Wisconsin with delivery of Sprecher Special Amber and the solid New Glarus Moon Man. Drank an amber.

 

I'm so damn hungover after the fights last night it was awesome seeing Brock back in the octagon. Now getting a little hair of the dog in me to hopefully feel a bit better.

It's been a bittersweet Sunday at our house. This morning, our daughter moved back to North Carolina to start her PhD. She did her undergrad down there but we had gotten used to seeing her more frequently during the past two years as she worked on her Masters in Connecticut. We're very proud of her accomplishments and Dad is proud of watching her pull away in the truck.

To help move on with the day, Mrs. Mac and I spent the afternoon in Frenchtown NJ. We hiked the trail along the Delaware but I was disappointed with the beer selection at the local Inn so we returned home to better pickings.



For all you BA's with young children, enjoy every minute . . . even those that drive you crazy. They grow up too quickly!
