Another unexpected find during my recent travels. I'd remembered really liking this one when I tried it back when it was released. Glad to have found another bottle after all that time, this is tasting fantastic :-)

A little past 1pm and fixin' to storm; may as well stay indoors and try more new beers. Lakefront's Brandy Barrel Aged Cherry Lager (10.7%):



This is an odd bird. It tastes like a fruit ale and drinks like a lager. Sour over ripe cherries/old fashion liquor flavors and corn puff cereal fluffy feel. Some DMS and some Brandy flavors. Definitely different. Best part is the hot alcohol, kinda dry finish. I bought a six yesterday so I have plenty of time to wrap my mind around this one...

Another one on life support and I'm giving it a dignified disposal. A sweet malty mess that could use a wet hop addition to try and restore it to it's former glory.
