Barrel Aged Four / Shades blend on tap at Upright Brewing with a plate of pork rinds.

 

I must have sweated gallons today so I have to take in quite a bit of fluids. Good start with a little salt n fruit with this. Hopefully I can get more.

 

Damn it's not and humid today, went to the local grocery after my grandsons football game and what do I see ; SN Oktoberfest. This is really good as always, I think this collaboration is much closer to the German imports vs last year version. Still a bit spicy, but the malt is the winner here. Shopping while sipping on a Nimble Giant on tap, gotta love grocery stores with a nice tap list too.

cold Harvest ale inside, it's 100 outside but fall is here the leaves are falling.

 

Beneficence IPA at Ironwood Brewing. My go to beer here garnished with a hop they picked off the bines growing along the front porch. Always a nice touch to IPA's this time of year!

 

Checking in with this 2015 before some golf. This year's version hasn't showed up yet

@MUTINY and I tried to be good hosts, and I hope we succeeded. The visitors to NoVa provided us with such great gifts, I feel a need to step up my game. I am now looking forward to a trip to the Philly area (who ever said that, right? ) and enjoy beers again with our "guests" on a different turf.

Hope everyone involved had a good time, I certainly did. Expect a few extra tags from me in the next week . And cheers to all BAs out there .

Will be enjoying IPAs from both the East and West Coasts along with one from the Midwest since I don't want the brewers in fly over country feeling dissed. Ha! From the East Coast am enjoying a Dog Fish Head 90 Minute (Liquid Sex in a Bottle) . Will follow up with Boulevard's The Calling IPA which I just tried for the first time last night and will finish up with Ninkasi Tricerohops Imperial IPA . This should be enough IBU's for almost any Hop Head . Cheers!

 

Well we'd love to have you join but it is a little time commitment. It is just for fun though so you wouldn't have to send any beers to the winner unless you wanted to! Fantasy aside I'm just happy that football season is finally here. Cheers!
