This stuff is really good.

 

I agree about pumpkin beers in August seeming too early, but the stuff ain't drinking itself.

Lead singer of Interpol and RZA have an album coming out. I need to listen to more than this one track tonight.

 

Folks here call that a Low Country Boil. Yours is an outstanding example!

Yeah. It also helped that I had a really hot teacher who's every word I hung on. Ahh...Mrs. Flores. If anything she was my muse at the time. Prob didn't fuck it up to just impress her lol

 

Gotta support VA breweries. What is interesting to me, is that this brewery was bought out by a larger VA brewery but the brew has not changed. I guess for now.

Finishing up with North High Brewings Milk Stout. Just roasty enough to balance the sweetness. Really enjoyable.

 

Who You Callin' Wussie by Stone Brewing (Escondido, California)

Artwork: The usual gargoyle-themed artwork. I kinda like the huge heavy-metal-esque fond though.

Appearance: Light yellow that appears cloudy at first but then clears up nicely. One inch of head that stays put for a couple of minutes.

Nose: Very hoppy. Some lemony notes. Makes you want to drink it immediately.

Taste: Spicy and hoppy. Malts are as pronounced as the hops and provide a very enjoyable balance indeed.

Mouthfeel: Body is on the light side and the carbonation not too intense.

Overall: A great pilsner. I need to get myself some more of it.

Like it. Wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but it grew on me. : ) Definitely need to let it warm. & probably shouldn't have any IPA/APA after it. The successor won't likely taste right. Great Beyond is a palate-wrecker. ; ) Had a gose after it last night. That was fine. The tropical fruity IPA I had after a previous one tasted weird, despite food (cheese & bread), & a 1+hr interval .

 

This probably won't resonate with you, but there isn't an oldster in the thread that didn't wish they were Hermie in '71.

 

Been traveling four of the last six weeks. Last night in the hotel before heading home! Bringing home some Florida beer also.

 

Did you just drink all six of those?

 

Whoa. I heard this was gonna be good, but dayum. Smells beautifully. Just danky all around and a beautiful array of citrus. Well done, Sand City. Wish I got more than one of these.
