Brewingz in Humble (Houston), TX. This is St. Arnold Brewing's Elissa, a pretty good IPA.

Just a token of the ambiance one can expect to encounter at the downtown branch of the library.

New Glarus Moon Man. Could be the beer I would choose if I could have only one kind.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Monday back at work. I just tapped a keg of the fall spiced cyser I made last month. Accidentally left it on the 35 psi for 15 hours longer than I wanted it, but its really refreshing. Semisweet/tart balanced apples, with moderate cinnamon/allspice flavors, and some light floral/earthy honey character. Carbonation will normalize over time; a bit higher than I wanted, but very drinkable with it there.

    Daily reviews:

Really good pale lager! Great head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of cracker, biscuit, light honey malts; with lemon, herbal, grassy, light peppery hops. Light herbal/spicy bitterness; light-medium bodied; balanced grainy malt and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Crisp, clean, and fairly dry finish. Nice lagering with minimal yeasty notes. Highly refreshing and very flavorful for the 4.6%. Was really surprised with this. Very enjoyable for being practically light lager ABV, and then factor in that this is gluten reduced as well. Very tasty stuff, tasted spot on to my style expectations. I enjoyed this more than the Pale ale and IPA. 3.78

This was really damn good. Very ugly murky pour, decent head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big apricot, peach, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with some light caramel, toasted bread malts; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness; medium bodied; balanced hop stickiness and grainy malt creaminess in the mouthfeel; touch of resins. Light-moderate increasing dryness, zero hop astringency. Very juicy hop/fruit notes; lightly dank and well rounded on hop complexity. Highly drinkable, 5.9%. Other than the appearance, no complaints. I should check out the base beer again now, I didn't like it very much when I reviewed it 4 years ago. 3.97

Last of the Sound MK beers. Stout with chili and vanilla. This was delicious! Really nice head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, chili pepper, vanilla, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/char/nutty malts; with some floral/herbal hop and chili pepper earthiness. Bittersweet roast/char and pepper spicy balanced finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced creaminess and sticky/chalky notes in the mouthfeel. Light increasing sticky/chalky dryness; mild but increasing pepper heat on the finish. Was definitely a fan of this one. Nose at first was kinda like a Bomb! Lite; but flavors are pretty balanced between pepper/vanilla and roast/toasty malt flavors. A bit thin but not horrible considering 8%. Some people will find the peppers to be a bit strong on this, but it's not Habanero Sculpin level or anywhere near it. Really well done spiced imperial stout. 3.9

Moving on to a Cedar Creek Dankosaurus. My paper towel strainer worked like a champ on that last beer...
