Plus, I am not sure which cap went with which bottle - they could be flip-flopped.

Living out in the middle of nowhere, I get nostalgic any time I hear a fighter or even a big old B-52 take to the sky. Even if it is a Navy Jet:wink:

No new beers for me this weekend unless I really get motivated to go find some. I'm keeping it simple with a lot of marzens.

I love the artwork on that can. The pumpkin kinda looks like The Grinch.

A comfort beer after unpacking and getting settled back home.:slight_frown: It looks like we got a lot of rain while I was gone as everything is green as can be including the trees. Going to be a busy day, but I'll take breaks to unpack my Colorado haul and my NBS goodies that @Dragginballs76 sent while I was away. It's going to be like Christmas morning tomorrow!

Have a great Saturday gang, I have some catching up to do.

On this beautiful October morning . . .

    Score 3.53
    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5

Light coppery color just like the brewer says, decent cap and lacing.

Aroma is mild malt like an unsalted cracker. Some hint of spicy hops.

Taste is the mildest of the Oktoberfests I've tried, which is to say a fair number of them both domestic and imported. Tempted to call it Okto Light. Malt never really asserts itself, some bread like notes appear, but all is covered by a slight hop bitterness at the finish. A pleasant nuttiness emerges in the aftertaste which is nice but would've made a better contribution earlier. The flavor is actually good there's just not much of it.

Texture is very smooth though rather light.

Overall this is a well made lager with no apparent faults. It should please a wide range of folks and that's a worthwhile goal. I'm surprised at the mildness of this version of a style generally considered to be somewhat more flavorful, but it is what it is.
