Haze = hype, which is way more important than how it really tastes.

I kid (somewhat). I'm sure there is some sort of correlation between the haze and the flavor profile, but I'm not an expert there.

The main difference between hopsmack and biter is one is delicious and the other is vaguely reminiscent of an old Maine beer.

I don't mind pooping on TG. For instance, Biter is terrible. However, Hopsmack is really, really, good.

I let out an audible "wtf..." Man, Casanova sounds like some holy liquor Mecca. It seems like they get really good distro from all over and now this?

A friend brought back some HOPSMACK! and Sosus, and is giving me first choice...which do I pick?!
Is Sosus an amped up Pompeii? I'm tempted by the name recognition of HOPSMACK!, but I loved Pompeii...

Hopsmack. They brew Sosus quite a bit. Hopsmack last year was better for me and only brewed once a year, maybe? Sosus is really good though, so you win either way.

IMO, the latest batches of both Hopsmack and Sosus show TG at the top of their game in Decorah for aroma, mouthfeel and flavor and had me grinning ear to ear enjoying it yesterday. While I'd take the Vic Secret/NZ hop forward Hopsmack over the Mosaic in Sosus I think they are both world class DIPAs. I was tickled to see Saboe signed the extra bottle I picked up at Prairie Trail Hy Vee in Ankeny today, I think that shows just how invested he was in this beer and how proud he and TG were of the result. His fingerprints are all over this super aromatic, deliciously dank brew.

I haven't had Hopsmack, but I'd choose that easy. Sosus is great and one of my favorite DIPAs, but they brew it fairly often and it's likely you'd be able to have an easier time getting a chance at that again as opposed to Hopsmack.

Recently had both sosus and hopsmack. I agree with @deagonaut that both are great. I'm a big Pompeii fan, so I favor sosus over hopsmack. But you can't go wrong either way

Am drinking some Pseudo right now that could be the worst batch I have ever had. Canned 10/26 or something.

No offense intended, I assure you, but that would only be newsworthy if someone on Beer Advocate didn't complain about every single batch while, simultaneously, someone else proclaimed it as the greatest thing since Betty White started eating sliced bread.
