Thanks man. For all of that. Just gotta get through this tour on Saturday for 90 boy scouts and their chaperones, along with city council members, and our board of directors:confused::grimacing: then hopefully I'll be in the clear for a while. Believe me, I have big ambitions for Saturday night!

Thinking on it, that is probably the ideal order of my post. That is one of my favorite versions of My Favorite Things.
I am also a backward scroller.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good hump day. Looking like a slow thread this evening. It was only last week when I was afraid I was going to run out of beers to review. Now I have an overwhelming about. Rochester Mills released a mixed 12 pack of flavored milkshake stouts today(9 I haven't reviewed), and I got a 6 pack of Lagunitas Westified Stout for $12.99! That is insane. I'd say the Heineken deal is working well. 6 packs of 12.2% BBA beer for less than some IPAs. Also got both the new Epic Baptist stouts as well.

    Today's reviews:

Very good American brown ale. Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, and light toffee/chocolate malts; with some light-moderate herbal/peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; nice bready/grainy malts and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Bit of chalky roast. Lightly drying from bitterness. Very tasty and spot on for an American brown. Nicely complex on maltiness; with just the right amount of hops for some balance and a bit of dryness. Really enjoyed this. 3.78

Outstanding sour! Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, pear, green apple, green grape, white wine, peach, papaya, guava, oak, coriander, orange peel, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbs, and grass; with some wheat/crackery malt balance; and light notes of leathery funk and vinegar. Moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spice on the finish. Medium bodied; nicely balanced between acidity, wine barrel tannins, and grainy wheat malts in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tannic dryness. Never puckering, astringent, or overly sour. Really drinkable and highly complex. Lots of wine barrel and muscat grape presence. Very impressed. 4.2

Great IPA! Loved the vanilla. Aromas and flavors of big vanilla/cream up front; balanced by grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with some honey and light caramel/toasty malts; with floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/rind bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced sticky/resinous hops and creamy/grainy malts in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, with zero hop astringency. Seems like a weird combination, but it really works. Nicely bright and juicy on hops. Bitter and drying, but not aggressively hoppy. No complaints! 4

Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale from Founder's. As I'd said in my review, this evokes "old world tavern" imagery towards yours truly......and so does this album. Yes, its folk/pagan metal, but its not TOO happy-sounding, or I couldn't hang.

Well if you don't like saisons I wouldn't try it. A lot of people tend not to like them, oh well one of my favorites.

    What drought?

(Insert image of political figure that states there is no drought. Gotta be cautious, you know .)

    Oh wait...this drought?

I don't think they can, but they do have crowlers! They did have the saison, but it was Taco Tuesday, so the the APA seemed like the best bet!

It's pretty approachable for a saison. I'm just a huge GD fan, cant say enough great things about them.
