What beer are you drinking now? #1503

I enjoy this beer, from time to time.

 

4.6% alcohol. 13 IBU. Brewed in Florida.

 

After a few days of post-holiday abstention, it's time for a beer.

One of the nice things about living that lager life is that, for the most part, I never have to chase a beer. That said, sometimes something cool falls into my lap.

My buddy was just in Italy on vacation and brought back this bottle of Tipopils. I've been lucky enough to have it on draft a few times, but I've never had it packaged before. Solid stuff.

 

That looks so richly good...almost like a grimm afterimage....

Yes ... Once again, it's time for my favorite Christmas beer. (!!!! Like I never post this beer at nauseum this time of year !!!!) A beer that totally defies the traditional Helles Lager style. ( a.k.a. - "Give us Americans a bunch of hops and we'll bastardize anything.!.! )

G' evening BA's! WTF is going on here? It's 6:20 p.m. and we're only on page 2? Did I miss something? I know I haven't been on here as frequently as I used to, but WTF?!

Anyway last night the wife, oldest son and I all went to Epcot for Holidays Around The World.
Had this at the American Pavilion:


It tasted like eggnog, but it was just a solid meh. As per my usual experiences with Shipyard beers.

So tonight the wife took our daughter to Epcot and I'm having this one from the fridge!

Been busy at work, which is a good thing! Makes the time go by quickly, but makes it seem like you're getting very little done. Oh, well hopefully a raise is in my near future!

Saw them open up for Iron Maiden when this album came out! This was one hell of an album, it's still killer!

Wow. What an absolutely fantastic brew. And to think that I don't even like oaky flavors and aromas most of the time. Quite sweet for an IPA. The sweetness became more pronounced as the beer warmed up. Oak was definitely there but it was more complimentary than overpowering.

 

Just one more day till the weekend! Cheers BAs!!
