Transient Crunchy Groove

Actually surprised I snuck onto the list. I'll take it!!

 

Earlier I got to try this thanks to a generous friend and colleague...

This was aged for about a year. I was picking up some maple-esque bourbon-like apple brandy notes in the nose with a marshmallow vanilla-like rich creamy smoothness paired with the chocolatey stout base flavor. Really magnificent stuff. Looking forward to buying a bottle when I can.

I also got to try some Pliny The Elder. No pic but don't worry because I have a couple bottles awaiting a full pour pic and review.

Right now I am drinking this new Citra dry-hopped IPA from Finback. Pretty tasty. Cheers!

 

I had to make dinner early this evening so I'm already done eating and started drinking.





Lemon & thyme roasted rainbow trout, duck fat fingerlings, and buttermilk cream chantrelle mushrooms. @PatrickCT That's that new pan on the right, the Blu Skillet. Cooks nicely.

This is one beer I have had my eyes on for years, but only ever found it well out-of-cold. Being that you enjoy it, and it is a very hop forward Helles Lager, I am intrigued and will make it a point to search it out this holiday season, 2016.

Wow haven't seen a bottle of Fort Point in a while. How is that tasting?

 

After such a chaotic work day, I can't afford another selection debacle like the previous night so I'm betting on a sure thing. How many times do you have to point out the process errors before the process owner takes notice??? I'll let you know when I get there....approaching double digits.

Drove back from northern Maine admist a snow storm. Great vista but fish tailing on the interstate wasn't fun!
Enjoying this DIPA from Lord Hobo. Normally not a fan of their beers but this is quite good.
