What beer are you drinking now? #1509

Such a flavorful IPA at only 5.5 abv. cheers.

 

Good evening WBAYDN crew, and what an evening it has been. Things started off looking good, I got out of work on time traffic wasn't bad, and I end up getting home early. I thought it was going to be a productive night, put up some more Christmas decorations, clean the house up a bit, get some online Christmas shopping done if I was feeling ambitious, and hell maybe even fire up the grill on this nice crips but very pleasant evening. But before all that I decide to water the tree, what should be a straight forward simple 30 second job. So we have one of those "fancy" "automatic" Christmas tree watering devices, which by the way is neither fancy nor automatic but I digress. Well it was out of water, so I fill it up with a generous potion, start to walk away and see that the tubing has fallen out at some point in the process and there is now a huge ever expanding puddle on the floor. Long story short, during the cleanup process we had a mini little timber ho! Luckily complete crisis was averted due to tree placement, and it kind of slumpted into the wall instead of a complete crash to the ground. However, being home alone with this gigantic tree that's refusing to stay upright turned into a mini disaster, and I spent damn near the next two hours fighting with him to stay upright. Well he may be crooked (and will be for the next couple of days until my girlfriend gets back home), but at least he's back on his feet ...errr trunk, with no significant damage done.

Decided I needed a big beer after that.

I am back but NOT stylin', amigo!

 

I was a big fan of both of these. The Beer for Breakfast was like Chickory Stout w/ a little bit of the Palo Santo smoke. The Transient was a nice citrusy Pale. Two thumbs up!

 

Just picked this up this afternoon. CW is nailing it with their Brewer's Reserve series!

This is a very intense black IPA, always confuses me, do I like it or not?

 

The Chai Vanilla version is way better than the Raspberry Lemon. The cardamom is strong and awesome.

 

Just to be clear, I liked, but I can't agree cuz I've never had it. I just like what people are drinking

Well, one thng I have learned is to be flexible with plans after 34 years of married life...

The missus ended up visiting one of her firnds on the way home, so back in da fridge goes the fish, and the cork remains in that beautiful Allagash Curieux bomber... Celtics/Bruins mash up on the tube, so it is all good inthe Rose hood.

While it is adsurdly trite, I popped the top on my annual single of SN Celebration figuring hey, send in the pic fir the free glasses....but that offer is apparently ovet, so I will just enjoy the beer which I find much more palatable than previous years. Or it is the Kiwi Rising talking...



And what the hell...if ma and pa can post pics on Facebook...
