Good night so far (just got a tad better). We're not a stranger to giving up big leads, but hard to get upset about a 3 goal lead.

@5EKF may not be able to post his great food pics for awhile while out of town. So I volunteered to step in. Big shoes to fill. This is a pic of butternut squash, gnocchi, and Italian sausage in a wine sauce topped with crispy fried sage.

I've gotten 6 hours sleep in over the last two days. I'm trying to do something about it with these big beers. I need my beauty rest.

Stopped by Fossil Cove had their imperial stout, alright. A few small tasters. None floated my boat. Now at Columbus House Brewing. Their Black IPA& Dubbel are both pretty good!

[IMG] Nitro made this beer much better than the base beer in my opinion.

It's Wednesday so only 4 days left in the work week. Can I get a hell yeah from the congregation?

This beer may be the next new NE DIPA:

Then I applied a Hump Day Chaser (look it up. I am sure that style designation is in some rule book somewhere).

No particular tie-in to the beers other than this song reflects my mood for the day:

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good hump day. Pretty busy work day, and get to be at work an hour earlier every week on Tues/Thurs from now with my new vehicle program. Hope it doesn't suck too bad, but I should be able to make it work. Did my normal bottle returns today and got some more new (very expensive) beers.

    Daily reviews:

Really nice stuff! Crystal clear, awesome head retention, dense lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, wheat, and lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced grainy malt creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; touch of resin. Increasingly drying finish, with no hop astringency. Very clean lagering, no off flavors. Really well balanced, and pretty juicy on hop flavors. Not overly bitter or resinous. This was delicious, would definitely grab again. 3.91

Fantastic pale ale! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, grapefruit, berry, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate honey, lightly toasted bread malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced grainy malt creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; slight resins. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, zero hop astringency. Enormously over the top and juicy on tropical flavors. Nice malt backbone, not too bitter or dry. Spot on for a pale ale. Going to need to grab a full 6 pack of this. 4.23

Really nice oatmeal stout! Awesome lasting head retention, and dense lacing around the glass. Aromas on flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toasted oats, dark bread, and lightly tart blueberries; with some light coffee, smoke, nuttiness, and herbal/spicy noble hops. Light herbal/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; very creamy/bready in the mouthfeel; touch of silkiness, chalky roast, and hop stickiness. Minimal roasted dryness. This was delicious, not sure why the ratings are so low. The blueberries aren't tart or overwhelming, but have good presence. The base beer is pretty spot on with the malt complexity and balance. I still prefer Dark Horse Tres; it is way more roasty on malts and immense on the fruit presence; but for $6, I would totally buy this again. Really enjoyable all around. 3.91

I like Consolation- the only beer I've liked from Lord Hobo. Just a bit too sweet for me. Like my DIPAS on the drier side. Bootleg is a drier style for me
