I have the classic Wu shirt in my regular t-shirt rotation. Can't go wrong.

Alvarado St. + Phantom Carraige: Opaque Minds IPA

It's good but needs a bit more malt backing imo

More from the cellar: another 2005 Anchor Our Special Ale and a Belhaven Scottish Stout. Don't know the year on the Belhaven but it's mighty tasty.

That can art is fucking dope. It looks like a lot of heavy metal album covers.

I'm really enjoying this release from Sierra Nevada. With all of the hazy, juice bomb IPAs out there nowadays, I forget how satisfying a well-made, old-school, West Coast IPA is. This hits that spot. Delicious beer.

Started the night off right with my husky pups and some Brown Shugga from Lagunitas. Not my favorite seasonal by any means but always a great pick up during the holidays. Dogs started wrestling and broke my Alpine Snulip right after this picture :flushed:

Moved on to a City of the Sun by Modern Times. I really like what Modern Times has been brewin up lately. I fill up my growlers their often, however they usually only fill their 4 main offerings. A lot of their limited releases have a hazy N.E. finish to them along with their new batch of Orderville (which I think is WAY better). This City of the Sun is more true to west coast style but definitely incorporates that juicy flavor.

I headed out with the lady a couple blocks down to one of our favorite spots, Half Door Brewing Co. The food and beer here is unreal. I find not many breweries offer the ever sought after northeast style IPA's here in CA. One of my most visited spots over the last year has been Half Door Brewing Co. I absolutely love the shit they brew up here. Almost all their tap offerings are unfiltered and are VERY unique when compared to most IPA's you find here in SD. I'm not inferring that Half Door have worked out all the kinks or perfected these yet after only being open a year and a half, but their for sure going against the current in terms of West Coast IPA's and what other local beers call their go-to. My home is West Coast pales and is where my love of beer started but It's nice to try new shit and see what all the fuss is about. SOME of these juicy, hazy IPA's are fricken DANK! Can't wait to trade with some northeast folk and get some samples from homebase.

Finished the night off with this EXCELLENT limited release of Half Door Brewing Co.'s "Northeast IPA". <====== Obviously another version of their popular NE style IPA's. If your ever in San Diego and are missing your sought after NE IPA's try out Half Door Brewing Co., right next to Petco Park in Downtown San Diego.

Thanks for the thought but not my birthday - Rivers and Taylor share a birthday - but the way I phrased it was poor  :stuck_out_tongue:
