Haha....I guess I should have been more specific....I meant "slow and easy" as in not moving around too much, not in the choice of beers! I may be sick, but not dead yet!:astonished:

Easing into this festive day with a breakfast starter . . .

    4.9 ABV, 15 IBU

    Score 3.65
    appearance: 3.5 | aroma: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Color of light lemon slightly darker than Traditional American lagers, moderate white cap.

I get some hop spiciness in the aroma which is otherwise a bog standard beer scent.

Taste is malt followed by a hop spiciness that continues through the aftertaste. The flavor itself reminds me of PBR, or rather what PBR would be if it was an all malt beer with more hop spice and a pleasant aftertaste.

Texture is fuller than I expected and very craft like. I know that doesn't really relay a taste impression, perhaps I'm saying the beer has a moreness to it than what we've come to expect from Traditional American Lagers.

This beer is being promoted as more craft like than AALs and it is. More and richer flavor, more quality hop spice, and a clean finish that is miles ahead of the somewhat industrial finish of most AALs I've tried. I believe we paid $6.59 for the six locally and this places it on my value for money list. It is well made with a broad market in mind and I believe they've succeeded in that goal.

Counts as a breakfast drink because of the coffee in it.

Wonderful stuff. Re-corked it with about a glass left. Can't wait to polish the rest off.

Good morning and Happy Saturday and New Years Eve BA's! For the Readers: Thank you all for making this my favorite year on BA. If I could, I would love to show my appreciation to each and every one of you with a round on me (I guess we'll just have to pretend ). Thank you for putting up with my silly antics, and allowing me to enjoy yours. I look forward each day to see familiar "faces", and find comfort in knowing there is always one bar that has room for more. Happy New Year to all of you, and may it be even better than 2016. Cheers! And now it's time for the Final GotD of the year, the Holiday Glass of the Week Awards!

    HGotW:
This one is for the Champion of 2016. The Staff has acknowledged @dcotom more than any other BA this year, and for good reason! Proper, silly, appropriate, dedicated, and now showing serious commitment with your 12 Days of Christmas ware. I've truly enjoyed all of your contributions my friend . Cheers and congrats!

Many of us here, myself especially, have appreciated your commitment to keeping "WBAYDN?" lively. The glassware awareness factor has definitely gone through the roof, and that is a good thing. My only wish for 2017 is that Glencairns and thistles start showing up at the thrift stores around here. Hope springs eternal.

Thank you, and all the best for the New Year!
