More new beer reviews, double duty tonight:

Another from @The-Adjunct-Hippie. Very nice Oktoberfest. Aromas and flavors of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/caramel malts; with some mild herbal/floral hops. Touch of yeast fruitiness, but minimal. Light herbal/spicy balancing bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied, light-medium carbonation; nice bready/grainy Munich malt creaminess in the mouthfeel; slight sticky hops and minimal dryness. Fairly clean lagering, minimal yeasty notes. Very flavorful and rich on malt flavor, nice overall complexity. Very drinkable and pretty crisp/refreshing. Very well made for the style. 3.78

Great stout! Aromas and flavors of big coconut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark bread; touch of herbal hops and smoke. Light herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; nice bready creaminess in the mouthfeel; touch of chalky roast, sticky hops, and silkiness. Lightly drying. Very rich and robust for 5.2%. The balance of coconut and the base beer is great, without getting into overwhelming "lotion" areas. No complaints! 4

Excellent winter warmer! Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, hazelnut, ginger, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, raisin, plum, berries, and herbal/floral hops. Light herbal/spicy balancing hop/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; nice bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; slight hop/spice stickiness and chalky roast. Lightly increasing spice dryness. This grew on me more over the course of the bottle. Great well rounded malt complexity, nice spice balance, and underlying fruity yeast flavors. Very drinkable as expected of 5.9%. Follows the English style for the most part; not overwhelming on spices, really well balanced all around. 4.1

No, the dog gets me up at the same time (early) every day. I've actually been waiting for the European guys to get the thread going, but they've apparently been sleeping in.:stuck_out_tongue:

    I did, you mean, right?

I mean, it's not like I'm still sitting in them watching the disappointment that was the Rose Bowl, right?

(ok, maybe I am still in them, but is that a crime??!? :astonished::flushed:)

Last beer of vacation. :slight_frown:. Let's make it a bomber. Why? Because I deserve it. Why? Because while working out with my wife tonight a 16 lb slam-ball bounced up and hit me in the junk. Ouch :confused:. Luckily I only had about five more minutes of the workout to power through. I know you all wanted to know that.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Time for another exciting episode of "Vase or No Vase." I found this at Goodwill earlier today. Handpainted with gilt trim, it is obviously quite beautiful. Is it a vase? Probably. Can you drink Backwoods Bastard out of it? Indubitably.

BTW, they had two of them. I bought them both. As soon as I get my hands on Boulevard's Scotch-on-Scotch, I'm doubling down.:grinning:

Great game. Probability finally caught up with McChuckitdeeply. That kid for USC though... he is going to be a problem for everyone. Bet they would like a re-do on their season.
Last beer of the night, and probably for a few weeks if my plan works out. I don't do the New Years resolution thing, but it does coincide with the end of football season which is where I try to detox. Also, the checking account and credit card could use a break. Keep the party going my friends. Prost!
