Rolling along with one of the true legends of Swedish craft beer, Bedarö Bitter. This is one of the OGs, made by Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri. It's nothing spectacular, but an exceptionally well made English bitter.

Good Afternoon all, getting started with a Golden Road Back Home Gingerbread Stout. It has a very strong ginger taste and something in the taste that is not very good, it tastes artificial.

Magnify Low Visibility Pale Ale on tap. This was one of the first beers Magnify brewed. It was impressive for a new beer from a new brewery. Recently they changed the yeast used to one that gives the brew a "New England" haze. It's still a nice brew but not as good as the original.

Started my weekend with a tale of woe. Last night after happily posting on WBAYDN, I polished off my glass of Bell's 30th Anniversary ale and fell asleep watching Portlandia. Woke up and attempted to walk 20 yards from my chair to the kitchen, only to somehow fumble my beloved KBS glass onto the hardwood flooring. Done. Given that I have family in GR i'll be back at the brewery before too long to get another but it still smarts!

Taking precautions today in going for a coffee stout that will hopefully keep me wide awake!

    Happy Saturday BAs

Yesterday was the same (here). No one else was complaining and posting photobucket links, so it must be a local problem around here.

Not tried Founders yet. But I will when I see it! I was expecting to find it when I was in Canada for about two months last year, but I haven't seen it there.

Top of my list now for some time is Ballast Point Victory at Sea.

I was a little worried about this one after trying Stone's Bigger, Longer and Uncut a little while ago. But this is miles better. Scotch is there with some peaty, smoky undertones, but The Abyss balances it out very well. Just spent the morning buying and moving in a new washer and dryer so I'm rewarding myself by NOT saving this one. Plus some old guy came by and took the old broken washer and dryer from the end of my driveway already!

    Canned 12/27/16.

In proper glassware? A generous buddy of mine gifted this to me. Cellarmaker is the master of pales. Monkish of course is killing it with the hazy IPAs on the West Coast. So this is a mash-up.

I heard a lot of people being disappointed that it's a pale, so I kept my expectations low. But this has superb flavors for a 6%. It's tropical and grapey, with a little bitterness in the back-end. I don't know what the complaints are all about. I think it's fantastic! (And better than the two Monkish beers I've had.)

A little red lager for lunch. Sweet amber malt fades into grassy hops at the back of the palate. Very nice. Heading to a trivia night tonight. Unlikely to post from there. Bringing only stuff I have rated including some favorite IPA's. I'll let you know when I get back. Hoping to have 1 or 2 more tonight. Gotta do my part for the new 20 page minimum. 20 pages before any LNBA's can go to bed or you get banned.

My son was dancing in his seat in the car after his basketball game this morning to this. He's 5 and watching his games is comedy relief at times as they are just starting to learn.

Lunch with the Mrs at a little French bistro near my in-laws. Steak frites and a beer for me.
