    A Hapkin. It's a heavy blonde from Belgium. New to me, but around in this form since 1877.

    The label on the backside of the bottle quotes Micheal Jackson (the late beer critic, not the late singer) from his his book The Great beers of Belgium. Ofcourse that makes any beer special. Will type that out another time.

    The sky today looks like stratus, but I'm going with the latest Hailstorm release labeled Cirrus that a friend picked up for me over the weekend. I've enjoyed their 'cloud' series beer thus far and this one while good tastes like it needs a little dialing in. It's on the acidic side leaving me feeling like I need some antacid. Perhaps it's from the five hop varieties? I'm curious to see how this changes in the coming weeks?

    Nice! That (thin) glass is the Bitburger glass you get in Germany when you order 'Ein Bit'. Had that once many years ago, but I still remember how amazing thin that glass was.

    Going to start my day with the usual Founders Russian Imperial Stout :wink:
    Then it's off to the store and see if I can get some more Hi-Res. That IPA was absolutely my favorite so far :grinning:
