Really though, I think this is the perfect serving size for a beer like this, at least for someone like me who more often than not is trying things alone (neither my girlfriend nor her sister who lives with us drink).

Anyways, bravo indeed, Firestone! This beer is fantastic and I do not at all regret the price tag (as I have with some of Avery's barrel aged beers in the past). I highly recommend it cheers!

New beer Sunday, Tuesday night edition: Surly Barrel Aged Darkness, 12% ABV. Pours medium viscosity and black, with slight tan head on a careful taproom pour. Nose is coffee, bourbon, and wonderful. Taste is bourbon up front, some coffee and chocolate, with a lingering bourbon close. Excellent mouthfeel, and overall excellent. Much better than regular, so I left the taproom and stopped at a liquor store where I picked up the last bottle.

 

Born in 61. Still a baby! You are just on the otherside of puberty.

BTW, my comment was just an attempt to be a smart ass. Usually, I am successful.

I am not proud of the fact my consumption started at 16. But all went well for 40 years. Then it did not go well. My late night/early morning posts speak for themselves.

Great Divide Hop Disciples rotating hop IPA. I like this one better than Titan and Hercules. Taste like Mosaic and something else, maybe Idaho 7 or Simcoe.
