DB BBB at Dominion for $20. Apparently no limits (which explains why Baptista sold out in an hour).

Both Baptist variants were $12.99, which is much less than Dominion was charging. So a few bottles left, by the way.

Some back story to this... was at WF around 2:30pm and grabbed the first bottles of each and was discussing with my gf which we should buy. The beer employee comes over to tell me it was just shipped and stocked without a price and was asking me if $9.99 sounded right. Obviously very low, so looking around online for a price when suddenly my gf mistakingly shows him $12.99 (which was for plain BBB). Found out later that $15-20 is the correct range.

Employee was super nice and rang up each $9.99 for us. Super lucky timing.

I sort of assumed it was a mistake on WF's part, because I've never known Dominion to price gouge. Same thing happened a few months ago when WF Old Town sold me FW Agrestic for $6.

WF is good for those kinds of things. Couple of months ago they had Abraxas on tap for $10/32oz and $19/64oz. When I told the Dominion guys this, they said no doubt they were losing money on that keg.

So, I travel to DC on a fairly regular basis but never check out any shops. Does Fantome sit on the shelves there like it does in other parts of the country?

I've seen it on the shelf previously at Calvert Woodley. Not sure if they have any now tho

The only one I have seen sit on shelves really has been Hiver. Rodmans had some for a long time, not sure if they still do. CBC was getting some different bottles in, but seemed like small supply, maybe call. I dont think DC has had enough supply for it to sit on shelves as in other places. Shelton Brothers just came back to area recently, so hopefully will see more in future. Also, the Sovereign has a pretty good supply of bottles if you are going out to bars.

    Really appreciate the input guys!

I'm trying to branch out and not just go exclusively to Churchkey when I'm in town (though it's not the worst thing in the world).

Places lose money all the time to get you in the door. If you bought any prepared food or a couple "365" grocery items I can almost guarantee they made a profit on you in the store.

Its good to notice though and not get sucked into buying 2x $3.49 slices of pizza that cost ~$0.25 to make. Unless you're lazy or a stoner of course, then you almost have to!!

After I pulled through the line, I have two full glasses. Free to the first two people who show up and knock on the front door at MP.
