Swish up first today, this batch is a little more dank and not quite as pineapple. Which is fine with me.

Is that an IPA in a stout glass :grimacing:

It most certainly is. As per Bissell and Spigleau this is a stout glass. But to me IPA's go in Spigleau or teku style glasses, and stouts belong in goblets or snifters. Why Spigleau branded this with no grip bumps a stout glass while being essentially the same thing as the IPA glass is beyond me.

Hells bells, look what showed up today!

I wasn't sure we'd be seeing this again as it's been on hiatus here in Hoosierland for several years. My local store got one case. Thanks Fat Head's for throwing us a bone this year! It's as awesome as I remember. I'm going to wash down the remaining grit after having my teeth cleaned this morning.

I've had Tank 7 before, and loved it, so I had to purchase it again.

A Vestkyst IPA from Kinn Brewery. Another amazing beer. Maybe the glassware is not great, but that's what the hotel could provide. Should have asked for a large cognac glass maybe.

Wonderful hotel by the way. The paintings you see in the background of my recent posts are all real paintings. This room I'm staying in has three, but there are many more in the rest of the hotel. And they are not cheap stuff. I can tell (a bit) because as a student a had a security job a an art museum.

The story goes that years ago this hotel was frequented by many artists (it's history goes back to 1898). And as we all know creative people like to drink (a lot). Most of the drinking painters could not pay in cash, so they payed with their paintings instead.
    Cheers!

I am glad you posted this tid bit of info on the paintings. I had been wanting to ask about the painting with the woman in the striped dress. I found it very striking to the eyes. The mountain range piece is gorgeous as well! cheers.

Switching to the dark side after that resinous Juju. This is dangerously drinkable!

I also thought that beer was quite good.

I have very fond memories of drinking in Norway from last Summer. Norway's craft beer scene was very impressive. Easy access to Continental gems, but also a really nice emphasis on American-style IPAs.

As you mentioned before, pricey, yes. Worth it to me. I want to go back as a real tourist sometime.
