Can releases happen every Tuesday. Doors open at 4pm. What's being released usually starts to be announced 2-3 days ahead of release day.

 

I think that edges out their previous largest release (CCAA/Juicy Boys) by about 15 cases to be the most cases sold on a release day.

That they still have a decent amount left says to me they nailed it on the limits even if there were some complaints about speed yesterday.

 

All cans sold out until next Tues.

 

Do most Tuesday releases sell out this quickly. Will be coming on a Saturday next month.

 

I don't remember the last time cans sold out on a Wed but you can refer to previous posts in the thread to see how long each week's releases have lasted. For the most part recently at lease something has made it until Fri or even the weekend. It all depends on what is released. If it's a week where a Gose and/or collab is released then it's going to be a big selling early week where not much, if anything, makes the weekend.

 

it sounds like that Trillium event is an epic shitshow. Place at capacity, hundreds of people outside waiting to get in, and 90 minute waits for beer.

 

Drove by around 1:30 and saw it was at max with 30-40 people waiting to get in. No thanks

 

Apparently all the Trillium beer ran out around 4:30. The FB group posts made this event sound pretty rough.
Much easier to pick up cans from literally any Veil weekly release & trade for plenty of Trillium.

 

Didn't go but followed the posts. Definite shit show. I get it. It's Trillium and if you don't trade or travel for beer this is probably many people's only chance to try them but along with the looong wait plus people said it was $5 for a 6oz pour I'm good. Glad I didn't go.

 

Yeah I'm glad I didn' go too, I haven't heard anyone say anything good about it.

In other Veil news, I loved Dusty Roadz on Tuesday but after drinking a couple more today, I'm even more impressed with it. This beer is one of the best they've made, it should be a staple for them.

 

Yeah, I wanted to go, but when I saw how many people had clicked "going" on FB I stopped wanting to.

raindropz is a brand new DIPA from us with 100% of one of our favorite new hops Enigma from Australia. Our best description of Enigma is that it reminds us of a blend of a slightly earthier but still dank/citrus version of Galaxy mixed with Nelson. We're stoked on this hop for realzies! Shooting for approx 200-220 cases. $16+tax/4-pack. 2x cases per person limit.

Frozen Ocean is a 100% Lupulin Powder 8% DIPA with an insane amount of Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic Lupulin Powder. Such an incredibly bright hop character both in the aromatics and flavor profile. Shooting for approx 215-240 cases. $17+tax/4-pack. 2x cases per person limit.

Don't forget that this Tuesday's release falls on Valentine's Day! We will be tapping a very special pin of Never Sufficient (Gose w/Montmorency Cherries and black lava salt) conditioned on a bunch of organic cocoa nibs. Who doesn't love chocolate covered cherries?!

Easiest in and out for cans yesterday since maybe sometime in the Fall. Thought both new beers were solid. Wish every Tuesday at the Veil could be like that.

 

Was great yesterday. I love when you can grab a couple pours and order cans while sitting at the bar. I really liked both new brews too. I wasn't sure what to expect with the lupulin powder dipa but I thought it was great - liked it better from the can than on tap though.

We will also be releasing a brand new pilot batch called IBU Police on draft and limited crowlers! IBU Police is a 5.5% IPA with literally 0 IBU's. We added zero hot side hops to this one. All hop additions were done cold side in the fermenter at temperatures lower than 70F. This pilot batch will be tapped fresh when we open and we will have approx 60 crowlers available. 1x crowler per person. $13+tax/32oz crowler.

 

Trillium has returned the favor for IwanttoBU. This is one of the Veil's taps at Huna Day and with them brewing last week I'm guessing can release will be Feb 28th or Mar 7th. I would lean towards the 7th.
