What up everyone! Some Newbies have shown interest in a Newbies Yopener. I messaged John Miller from Yopeners and we have a couple options. The order could be sent to one person fro disbursement and would cost $22/each if we have 25 orders. Otherwise it would be $27 each and be shipped to each individually, no minimum order. Or we could take @CBrodbeck 's suggestion of paying $30 each and the rest could be a donation. Either way we could pay directly through Yopener's Etsy page or send funds to one of us (@CBrodbeck had volunteered) and just make one payment.

If you would like a Yopener like this post (don't like if you are not interested in one).

    Here are some photos:

Additionally, if they are sent to a single person for disbursement (I volunteered if we go that route), first class shipping to each person would probably be like $2-3 (I'm assuming the openers aren't super heavy).

UPDATE: Regular price is actually $28, not $27. It went up since I made my purchase.

Late posting this, but @Eziel sent me a huge ninja box last week, chock full of tasty treats.

Those hops have disappeared at this point, but boy were they tasty. Can't wait to start cracking into these, the Jackie O beers sound great, cycle stout is a big want, and everything else is a totally new brewery tick for me. Awesome box EZ, thanks so much.

The prescription said to stop sending out beer, but I feel the sickness taking hold...

    !!! TIMES RUNNING OUT !!!

    #LIF Time!

Believe it or not, I have too much (extra) beer on my hands, and someone needs to enjoy it before @Yourahoser gets another package. This is open to all newbies who have participated in any past round. I will probably let this ride until Friday night so I can do a little recon on the winner.

Some of the not-newbie newbies may remember that I was vocal on slack about 3 concerts that I went to last year. For those who are new around here and the ones who don't take notes, they were Green Day, Sum 41, and Blink-182. All three put out a new album last year, so lets make a 3 part question.

Level 1 - Out of the 3, which band did I think put on the best live show?
Level 2 - Out of the 3, which band put out the album that I most enjoyed?
Level 3 - Out of the 3, what is my favorite song that I crank and jam out to in my car, off of the new album?

Keep in mind that the bands were listed in no particular order, and my favorite song may not be on my favorite album, or that my favorite album may not have been put out by my favorite performance.

I am putting a secret value on each question, and with the amount of possibilities here, there should not be a tie. Highest total wins. I will also be throwing in a couple things tailored to the winner along with what I already have set aside.

Please tag me in your reply so I get notified. Thanks and good luck!

Word up Newbie thread! Excited to tick some handshakes in a couple weeks during Huna.

Keep your eyes peeled in here for my second annual Huna LIF. I'm working on details....

I know I've recently swapped beers with @Rconn006 and @Bleicht and they expressed some interest in the BIF community so feel free to check out the thread guys and join in on the next round if interested. If you get very interested, I'll help you set up a Lottery It Forward which is the normal way you start participating - by giving away beer!

Also, my long-time RTP @msumike89 has expressed some interest in BIF as well so I hope he can linger around the thread to see what it's all about. Recently moved to Colorado so watch out for Melvin cans and other CO goodness!

    Cheers all!

A winrar has been selected and the box will be going out ninja style, hopefully landing next week. I will reveal the answers once the box has landed.

This thread needs more #newbie haul pr0n, so here you go:

A small agreed upon trade between myself and @droopy1202 turned into unexpected ninja boxes. I win since mine landed first :stuck_out_tongue: but I'm sure our boxes passed one another at some point since they were both on the road at the same time.

    Big bottles:

I already had a Higher Math ageing since I heard it was hot, so this one, in the natural BIF spirit, be forwarded on. Thanks again @droopy1202 for another amazing box!

And then @OEB tries her best attempt at ninja bombing me, which apparently she needs some more examples of ninja bombs :sunglasses: since I new something was afoot. Regardless, I had no idea what was on its way since I never asked Kerry for anything.

Turns out @OEB was taking notes of her own since I expressed interest in Juice Gymnastics when Bort said he was going to the release. Not only that, but Kerry also tossed in 2 other unmentioned wants, and both new brewery ticks to boot! Thanks again Kerry, but I stiill don't think were even just yet :grimacing:

Encouraged by @azuelke posting of newbie pr0n right above, here is my ninja box I got earlier this week from, well, @azuelke.

Completely unexpected and extremely appreciated; been drooling over DDH Sue for a while now, and crushed it on Fri with a Chicago guy who grew up going to the Field museum to see the real Sue. Might not have gotten Adam's name to send out Juice Gymbo but that makes it fun to strike him unexpectedly in the future.
p.s. that is so not my minivan in the background. no clue how that got in the pic.
