A little overdue here, enjoyes these a few weekends ago.. First up, glitter job #1 Gushed a little but everthing else seems fine. Very silky/creamy coffee-forward stout. Quite bitter on the finish. Tasty Love coffee stouts and really enjiyed this take on it, almost an espresso stout. And glitter job #2: Poured very dark and smells barrel aged. Tasted similar to bcbs, maybe a touch boozier/thinner. Maybe it was the nicaraguan rum? Anyways, tasty beer! Thanks!
Ok I think I'm the last one to open up their blind bottle. Cork said hardywood, Im picking up some vanilla and cinnamon. Haven't had anything from them before, but based on descriptions I'm thinking it could be Christmas morning or Kentucky Christmas morning. I'm guessing it's the Kentucky one since that's on my wants. Tastes delicious, the reveal: And it is Kentucky Christmas morning! Thanks @Tifore, this was great, I really enjoyed it!
I'll try to fit in a week of PRon I'm one post.. I miss you Pleepleus! Thanks @jschott75, we had a good thing going. NOW YOUR ON MY LIST! In or out the dog house @BartS YOUR ON MY LIST! Tag teamed from @Tifore and @beluga92... YOUR BOTH ON MY LIST! And dat #handshake for the win!
At this point I think everyone has opened their blind bottle and (hopefully) posted a photo on here, so it's time to open up voting for BEST BOX. Please send me a private message with your vote for who you think sent the best box. The two people who receive the most votes will receive a box of beer from an undisclosed benefactor. I'll leave this open until Friday (or until votes stop trickling in).
This question has been raised a couple times, so to confirm: yes, it is ok to vote for the box that you received.
@BartS decided to bomb three SoFla Newbies.... I'll be sure to share with @CBrodbeck and @maljay26 But I get to try it first... Thanks Bart!
OK thread. Time for my second annual Huna Day LIF. The winner will get a box of beer from me including a 2017 Huna so if you don't want a porch bombing, don't enter this one Just quote this post with your answers, I'll add up the numbers in everyone's post to get a total and the person closest to my total wins. Price Is Right rules are not in effect. 1) I am flying from Ohio to Orlando. What is my flight number on the way down? 2) I plan on playing 4 rounds of golf while in Florida (18 holes each round). In case I miss a round, what will be the total of my lowest 3 rounds? 3) Between the 3 beer groups (Locals, Newbies, SWTFYW), how many handshake ticks will I have? 4) How many new/unique check-ins will I have? - starts on 3/9 and ends at 11:59pm on 3/12 5) How many Ohio State shirts will I see for the entire trip? 6) How many beers am I bringing down, how many beers are already waiting for me in FL, how many beers will I buy there, how many beers will I drink and pay for, and how many beers will I bring home? Give me a total and no beers will count more than once. 7) The car I drive will hopefully have a license plate - add up all the numbers on that and multiply it by 32 for this guess. 8) How many minutes will I wait in line before getting into Huna? 9) Once in FL, how many miles will I drive total? 10) How many minutes will it take me to get through the longest line I'm in at Huna? Tie Breaker is I'll just send the box to the person that I can hit the most wants Good Luck and all sign-ups for this need to be in by 3/6/17 at noon. Post Edit: LIF is open to any current Newbies or lurking potential Newbies
How many beers will I share with @Eziel ? Not a contest question. Just looking forward to the handshake tick with Newbies and SWTFYW ers
It's very close at this point, I'll leave this open into the weekend so more people can vote. Also, any Newbies who didn't participate in this round can feel free to vote as well. @WesHowl posted a spreadsheet on Slack if you need a refresher on what everyone sent (and if you're not on Slack and want to be, well, we can remedy that).
... and i realize i totally read that LIF wrong haha ..why did i add it all up? because beer gets you drunk i have no idea now if i was doing it right
