    Happy Saturday BAs!

The first beer that I put on my want list when I joined BA was Zombie Dust. Many beers have since come and gone on the list, sometimes without me having had them. Today is the day I scratch Ol' Zombie Dust off the list!

I don't really know that I could add anything of importance to what has already been said about this one but I'll give you the quick notes. First it pours a beautiful deep orange to amber with a noticeable fresh and bold citrus nose. Taste of bright citrus, grapefruit and orange peel. Also getting a bit of sticky caramel malt coming through. This beer is juicy with a nice citrus bit. Not as bitter or pungent as I was expecting and because of that it is a extremely easy drinking beer. I love it! Zombie Dust is as advertised IMO.

    Cheers BAs

Beer #2. Champion's take on FBS. It's very smoky, which I like, but there's a harsh medicinal element hiding in there too. Hoping it fades as this thing warms.

Post from yesterday, went by Beer Lab HI and had their Zacca Zacca Pale Ale. Bursting with apricots, melon, citrus, and a nice floral hoppiness.

While I was there, they tapped one of my favorites, a tart saison loaded with Lilikoi juice, Lilikoi Le'a. Tart/slight funk and like biting into a Lilikoi off the vine.

I've been trying to make an effort to clear out some beer that's been overlooked, so that being said, here's my first"Island of misfit beers" beer for the day.

    Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza

Brought this back from Michigan last August, and gotta tell ya, it's flipping brilliant. I'm a huge sucker for the style, but this one has a nice green apple thing going on. Just a great beer.

French band for a French style.

I rarely buy bottles just for the label but that was the case here. Love the metallic red design.

Fortunately the stuff in the bottle was decent too

Got two new beers for tomorrow, got a Weistephaner Heffe Dunkel, and a Weistephaner Premium, both new to me. Got a pounder 4 pack of Burial Shadowclock Pils, great beer IMO.

taking it a little easier today after my over-indulgent yesterday - and it looks like I gotta
rev up the chainsaw - (and I kinda poured myself a slushie here - don't keep beer in the car overnight )

Not as cold as out East, but cold enough for some slow cooker chicken and wild rice soup. I'd swear the additions to this beer are stronger now than when it was younger.

Listening to quite a bit of this band during soup prep this morning. Thanks, YouTube.
