Anyone know price of KBS 4 pack vs 750 ml bottle? I'm wondering if it is as big of a rip off as I think it is..seeing that Lizard of Koz was $19.99 a bottle

    $19.99 for 750. I forget what 4-packs are. $22.99 or $23.99???

Thanks. So we are talking $0.79/oz for the 750mL and $0.50/oz for the 4 pack based on $23.99 per.

Wish they would have just made more 12 oz bottles for more people to drink. Oh well...

I was interested in a 750 until I found out the price.

Ollie's in CBus just posted on FB that KBS is in and they are charging 7.20 / bottle, which makes their 4 packs 29 / per. Que the price gouging.

Wow those bottles must have come from a fine vineyard

For those comparing to JO, price per ounce is almost double for BBDA. 4-pack would run you $48.

That being said, High-Westified was basically half KBS.

These price differences are shockingly drastic.

And yet, people bought the shit out of So Happens It's Tuesday, Poterie, and other stupid expensive Bruery beers.

    Jackie O's: 13,000 BBL in 2016

Wow, it's like volume and cost are somehow related. Shocking indeed! :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

And the average consumer has ample command of these factoids as they walk through their local Giant Eagle. :grinning:

Also, I don't think that correlation would continue when you insert AB/GI's BCBS, but would be interesting to know either way.

While we're at it, do you have the numbers for the rest of the breweries in Ohio, especially, you know, the one you relish in flaming ~once a month, esp. regarding pricepoint?

Based off the KBS I have seen so far, Looks like about double will hit the state. I'm only basing this off two stops in Lake county. Both spots saw double from last year. $23.99 per 4.

Just paid $29.99 with tax for a 4-pack, and $21.99 for a 22oz. bomber in Youngstown.

The only thing that gets me more excited than beer is talking fixed cost leverage.

I passed on KBS, it's good, if you like it, grab it. I got waldos' special ale, it's really good, a six pack, 11.9% and cost $11.99. Thanks.

Agreed, to me KBS is the perfect balance. Jackie O's is very barrel heavy which I love most of the time, but sometimes I just want a nicely balanced barrel aged stout, and for me it doesn't get better than KBS.

Picked up a 4 pack of KBS @ Green Road Heinen's @ $23.99 (they got 5 cases; I don't know if all are reserved or not because he grabbed mine from the back). Warehouse Beverage has 12 oz singles @ $6.25 iirc; about 6 or 7 of 'em.

I was very pleasantly surprised with KBS this year. The last 2/3 years, something seemed off. I can't really say what. Either too much coffee or chocolate. Seemed a touch muddled. This years was a home run for me. IMO miles ahead of SMS or Hi-W in terms of being smooth and balanced.

Circle A received one case of KBS and I guess people were waiting around the store for the delivery. I can only shake my head...

This is the normal anymore, it seems.

I gave up giving a shit about the super hyped beers.

Not to mention in the Columbus area, I would say 90% of the bottle shops limit it to 1 or 2 bottles per person. Unless you find it at a grocery store that doesn't keep it behind a counter, you aren't getting a 4 pack.

It has been the norm for a looong time and it won't change, most likely.
