    look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

    Nice light gold color with white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of sweet malt and light floral, spicy hops.

    Taste is malt forward which is slightly less sweet than the nose implies, it actually drinks and finishes rather dry. Spicy bittering hops appear mid palate and build toward the finish leaving a refreshing bitterness in the aftertaste.

    Medium plus texture with balancing carbonation.

    A beefed up AAl, if you will. That sounds disparaging but we've got to start someplace. This is an all malt lager with hops having a noticeable presence while not becoming too noisy. It all works together nicely but comes across as a more American than European interpretation of a pale lager. It's as purpose built as a pickup truck with the functional utility of that vehicle.

    Stealing from inspired by @Greywulfken, I'm doing an early edition of "born today", with the theme of three prodigies in their field who left us too early.
    The first one needs no introduction.

    Steve Clark, Def Leppard guitarist, would have been 57 today.

    Terry Gordy isn't as well known as the above musicians, but he started in professional wrestling at 14, was drawing 20,000 fans to the New Orleans Superdome by 20, was one of the best in the business by 25, and was dead at 40.
