Wormtown Mass Produced Lager

You can never go wrong with Wormtown. This is a really nice Helles, just a hair on the watery side compared to the real stuff from Germany. Would gladly buy again.


The Tap Solar Plexus DIPA

This is a nice DIPA from The Tap Brewing out of Haverhill (too lazy to look this up but IIRC this is the same brewery as Haverhill Brewing, who made one of my old favorites, Leatherlips IPA). I'm a bit spoiled from all the great trillium beers I brought back with me but this is a really good hazy IPA without any of the hype. Has a bit of mango/kiwi/melon thing going on that I really like. 9% abv is insanely well hidden. Sleeper hit of the trip, I think (aside from Bog Iron)

 

First beer of the week after a brutal holiday weekend. Cheers!

 

Very much so, the birch sort of overpowered some of the other flavors but it seemed to subside a little as I drank on it.

 

Uh oh, next we'll see Spock with a beard!

 

From one coffee beer to another. This is delicious. I think Hill Farmstead is officially my favorite brewery across the board.

I believe we have spent approximately $32,397 on dog toys for Ranger in the 5 years he's been our pooch.

I was pouring this beer and my wife says in her best Boston accent " that smells like a dirty dipa " I said its only an aipa. She didn't get it, friggin wine drinkers, no sense of humor.

I've been relegated to the shop tonight for drinking stinky beer.

Offshoot Brewing - Horse

 

Stopped in to Hopcat in Indy for a delicious "Westy IPA" from Bare Hands Brewing. One of my favorite Indiana IPAs. Also grabbed a Coconut Victory at Sea. Cheers.



A very belated RIP to the great Gregg Allman. The last time I saw Gregg in person was this very tour.

 

This is a very good IPA. And the Mouteka hops set this apart. Really tasty take.

I should've purchased more of this (if it were available on sample, I'm sure I would have)...Although it is less aromatic, the aroma is more fruity and achieves a really nice balance between hop and malt (which my palate prefers).

I still have two more varieties to sample from my voyage but The Alchemist brings consistency/quality, cost, fresh products all wrapped in a very pleasurable experience...well worth the trip and cannot wait to return!
