I wrote about Peroni Nastro Urro in New Beer Sunday yesterday. I had it on tap. I doubt I would ever buy a 6 pack of it since it cost more than SNPA does in NJ,

I'm just soaking up the sun with some Stone Enjoy By unfiltered IPA.

This beer pours with a deep copper tint, amber outer glow. plenty of floaties through out . They mean business when they say unfiltered. Look reminds me of an algae rich fish tank.Pale white head. Very nice lacing.Nose is of stone fruit and heavy grapefruit rind. Slight burn going down. Semi soft mouth feel with a lashing of hops to keep you attentive to the brew you are drinking. Grapefruit lingers on the palate for quite some time.

I have been told I have a tendency to "throw back beers fast". I think I want to take my time with this one and see how it tastes at near room temperature.

A ton of bubbles floating to the top. Am I high right now?

This is a good IPA I would gladly try again. Cheers everyone.

Something timid from a local-is brewery. (It's so isolated around here that anything within 100 miles is local.)

 

Early afternoon at the brewery:



First a flight, then a braut:



Now drinking "Get Pitted" a new release, a wild ale aged in Cabernet barrels with tart cherries:



Tart cherries, some horse blanket funk, and oaky without tasting/feeling wooden. Red wine with a vinous feel. Up there with FW's barrel aged wild ales! Cheers from Oakland, FL!

 

Great little beer!

It's got that tropical fruity hop aroma and taste, with some bandaid Brett funk that dries it out. Easy to drink, and perfect for summer days. Cheers!

 

Had a lovely night last Saturday.

 

I've had and loved both of these before but given the recent Zymurgy poll figured I should try them side by side. I personally still prefer Pliny but will never turn down the opportunity to drink Two Hearted.

 

And another light one because my son is still napping.



Pretty bland but refreshing. Most of the beers from this place aren't for me, but when your brother-in-law hands you an unsolicited mix six pack, you graciously accept and hope for the best.
