Founders Porter at room temperature. I'll never refrigerate it again.

 

Schlafly Double IPA... really good, kinda surprised

 

Starting today with Bell's Pooltime (4.32), the best cherry wheat I've ever had.

While this is a solid porter, I found that i liked Bell's just a tad bit more. Then I tried Deschutes black butte porter and had an orgasmic experience. Cheers!

 

Canned on 7/11. Not bad at all, especially for FW around here. It's a pretty good IPA.

 

I like Smuttynose Robust Porter but Founders is what the store had. Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep an eye out for the Bells Porter. Difficult to find a good selection of porters with all the IPA's hogging the shelf space.

 

Not a busy Thursday, it seems... who got banned now??

Anyhow, needed a trip to Ocelot, so we made one.:


Sampler to see which of the new beers deserve a bigger pour. Time and Space (can y'all make out the hop listings?) makes a strong showing as our first attempt. There's a biere de miel in the mix, too.

A shitty day at work, so I'm consoling myself with this


Apparently a shitty job of photography also. That's Curieux if you can't read the label.

 

Sometimes you and your SO plow through a flight (though we set the wonderful Here Kitty Kitty aside as a palate cleanser). The only downer was BurnYour Papers, a Galaxy hopped DIPA. Started out fine enough, but then the beer pulled out a raw hip pellet from behind its back an threw it at my palate. Juniper evergreen and a little berry tart of some sort. That bitterness was a little too strong-willed.

So, sharing some others for reviews:


Time and Space (lighter) and Monkey on a Train up first, with chalk art and an Americanized Zen garden??

 

Closing with Allagash White beerwise. And Throwback Thursday musicwise with...

 

St. Arnold Icon Gold Belgium IPA. Very mild with the hops and Belgium yeast not overpowering one another. Very easy to drink. Jokester's in the background.
