Just had a 2010 Old Stock Ale and two years after having this 'cellared', it's still an unbalanced beer that is just a boozy mess. Choked down half of it and put the other half away to braise some lamb in.

What are some beers that you will simply never drink again?

Southern Tier Creme Brûlée Stout. I had it at Thanksgiving two years ago and my teeth are still chattering.

New Holland Cabin Fever Brown Ale. Bought two 6-packs last winter and was immediately turned off from the first bottle. For some reason, it had hints of a menthol taste (reminded me of Salem cigarettes). Maybe I had a bad batch, but it was totally not what I was expecting.

It's always interesting to me how two people can taste things differently. I had the 2010 Old Stock (as well as the 2009). Loved both of them both aged and "fresh." Personally I thought the alcohol was a noticeable but not overpowering. Every winter I look forward to buying it and Bell's Thir Coast Ale.

'94 SA Triple Bock. I would consider it for use in a chow sauce, though.
