König Ludwig Weissbier Hell.

Royal Bavarian Hefe-Weizen. From the originators of the Bavarian purity law from 1516 and the founding family of the Oktoberfest. However this beer is not allowed on the official Oktoberfest.

(For who’s interested) The only beers at at the official Oktoberfest (there is even a law for this) are:
Paulaner (Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, Brau Holding International)
Hacker-Pschorr (Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, Brau Holding International)
Augustiner (Augustiner-Bräu)
Spaten (Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu, AB InBev)
Hofbräu München (Staatliches Hofbräuhaus)
Löwenbräu (Löwenbräu, AB InBev)

Such a classic IPA that is no longer trendy sadly. This beer is as special to my heart as probably Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is to most.

 

Thirsty Dog - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Pumpkin Ale (half-growler).. cheers!

 

Taking a break from the 'to do' list with a Michigan favorite. Its approaching 1pm and the patio is still engulfed in shade. The path of the sun has really shifted to the south now making the shadows longer and the seasonal change very noticeable. Cheers gang......

 

Awesome! I was in that same boat until I got a little more involved with this thread. A lot of good and generous people here make it hard to stay on the sidelines forever. The more the merrier at the "V-Bar" with "The Now Gang" (to quote others signatures), and I'm glad, as I'm sure a few others are as well, that the themes are so well received. Thanks, and Cheers!

Good afternoon BA
I'm going to share a story after this beer to prove Mondays suck even when it's a day off.

This beer is very nice. I think my break from IPAs is making it easier to appreciate subtle styles. This beer is well received by the NBS and WBAYDN crew in reviews.

Story: My wife and daughter are in Washington DC. I thought I would get some stuff down around the house on my days off. Checked the hourly forcast this morning & no rain in sight. Spent 2 hours mixing weed killer and spraying the yard. Came in and showered. Walked out to run errands as a massive thunderstorm rolls in and proceeds to piss and pour for 30 minutes. Checked phone, Washington DC is nice and dry today as that was the last forecast viewed.
