    Lagunitas doppel weizen, not what I expected, almost reminiscent of an IPA. For a $4 bomber though I can dig it.

    I agree. Besides Sierra Nevada, none of the domestic ones I've tried have been close to the German ones for me.

    Stevens Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale, 7.5% ABV, 10 IBU. Pours brown with a slight white head. Nose is pumpkin and spice, taste follows with slight sweetness and very little bitterness. A bit dry, but decent mouthfeel. Overall excellent, one of the better pumpkin beers I've had.
