    It's freezing cold tonight in upstate NY. As much as I love light hoppy lagers, I had to drink something warmer and maltier. Something bourbon barrel aged will be next, I think, possibly as my nightcap.

    Also, some guy on Facebook got me started on a Tool binge again. Such an amazing band; one of my favorites.

    Wow. 13 month old Backwoods Bastard is tasting soooo smooth. Like, holy crap. It smells and tastes like boozy butterscotch candy with vanilla, cherries, and chocolate. This is so good it's stupid. Backwoods Bastard is undoubtedly one of my top favorite Founders beers. In fact, I think it's my second favorite just behind Founders Imperial Stout.
