I've seen the 11/11 date on OHB's and DR's social channels, but no event details yet.

Olde Hickory posted on Facebook this morning with the date (11/11) and that all 3 breweries will be hosting their own release events. No detailed information on their release event yet though.

Sounds like with all 3 places hosting bottles it will be quite the allotment. Sort of shocked they are doing all of the breweries.

I'm sure they all brewed it up on 15bbl fermenter (or bigger). Even if they did it in the 5bbl pilot, thats still a big chunk of beer.

I applaud this. I for one, won't need to drive 3+ hours to Hickory.

Considering it was brewed at Foothills, I think if there were any question it would have been released at Foothills. I'm glad its releasing at OHB as well though.

Who knows. I'm just happy there are options. Makes it more feasible for people like myself. Excited to try it for the first time.

Should be a full day. Sierra Nevada AHS event is that same day... No way in hell I'm making all three.

-Which three? I'm hitting OHB, then AHS, then fonta's 4th on the way back.

I'll be doing OHB then Fonta Flora. Hitting AHS means you're guaranteed to not get FF bottles/growlers since AHS is 4-6 and Fonta opens at 3. Good luck on hitting all three!

    Per Foothills:

"North Carolina’s original collaboration beer has been resurrected after a 5-year hiatus! It will go on tap at our pub and tasting room Friday November 10th, and will be released in bottles Saturday November 11th simultaneously at Foothills (both locations), Olde Hickory Brewery locations and The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery. The beer is a blend of imperial stouts from all three breweries (yes, we used Sexual Chocolate for our part) and has been aging in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels. There will be no bottle limit on purchases."

If they've got such a crazy amount, I wonder if I could swap Fonta Flora and Olde Hickory and try to get Rhythm Rug bottles then pick up Olde Rabbit's Foot.

Yea, but won't Olde Hickory do a morning release and then the Fonta release isn't until 3?

OHB hasn't released any details on how they're doing their release. If they're doing it from the Station (like they did Maple Syruption) then it'll be after they open. But if they do it like they've done most of their other releases it'll be run out of the brewery and will probably be earlier than 11. My guess based on the volume is that they'll run it out of the brewery and it'll be earlier (9 or 10 probably, can't remember what time they've done other releases).

Olde Hickory has a facebook event up now. Looks like fresh tastings will be at the Station Friday night while the bottles go on sale Saturday morning at the brewery.

edit: $20 per bottle, no limits
