Good Morning B.A. people. Starting the day with Partnerships Red IPA from a collaboration between Heavy Seas Beer, Baltimore Md. Maine Beer Co., A fine way to start a Sunday 1 pt. 6 oz of 7.25% goodness!

 

Crux Fermentation Project • [BANISHED] In The Pocket

 

Ardent IPA.... left over from the takeover at bottleBOX earlier in the week. . I guess the only way we see some RVA beers is if the brewer brings them.

 

A triple collab with 3 Bay Area breweries.

I like this more than Hop Mix Volume 1, and this Vol 2 is billed as a "hazy West Coast IPA" with Nelson, Hallertau Blanc and Amarillo.

But it's more like okay/good than memorable. I thought that with the hop bill, it'd be really explosive in flavor, but it's pretty muted. As it warms, you do get more of the melange of tropical fruit. I just want it to wow me. This didn't.

 

Burley Oak keeps pumping out these 100% hop DIPAs. The first two, mosaic and galaxy, were freaking great. But this one with vic secret might be my favorite.

 

Surly Abrasive Ale. Yowza!

At the training table a.k.a Tomato Bar after a late morning 5k. That's a Stone Dr. Frankenstone Monster IPA hiding behind that cheese steak sammie. It was a tough run on a golf course with a lot of hills. Placed second in my age group just seconds from first. Not one of my better efforts as my cross country/trail days were left in my youth! I did capture enough points to lock up first for the region series of races, so it's all good. Have a great Sunday!


I warmed up listening to Fridays tribute to Chester Bennington at the Hollywood Bowl. It looked to be an amazing show.
