    I'm back already...

Tallboy cans have apparently changed how I drink, as I moved effortlessly into another 12 oz. bottle of my beloved Duvel, Tripel Hop-style, wit' Citra in da house...

But now, my second this morning and third overall (had one last night), I'm ready to drop my review of this highly-anticipated (well, for me, at least) beer...

lol - no, I'm not gonna make ya read it! Click the link if ya wanna tho...

    Cheers...

Dipping into my Denver haul with a post dog walk beer on a cloudy cold morning. The oak is really shining in the finish. Watching Dan Patrick and contemplating something light for lunch. One more day, we can do this!

So good to have a relatively fresher bottle of this great beer.

A little dark roast for this rainy California morning.

Still on the shelves around here . . .

Taste is straightforward sweet malt, clean and relatively simple, but certainly malt. Hops interplay like a lightly spiced dish which is to say they're there but in the background. There's enough malt flavor to push it ahead of the usual AAL Amber brews without becoming sticky or heavy feeling. Finishes quick with a pleasant malt aftertaste.

Voll-Damm #2. The main fireplace is roaring, and I've just got the pellet burner in the kitchen to light:

    Time to kick back...

Stone Matt’s Burning Rosids. Imperial Cherry Wood Smoked Saison sounds a bit strange, but works out wonderful with the smoke part being relatively mild.
    Cheers!

A double barrel day out in the Backwoods. At the rate I'm drinking these, I think I'm going to need at least another four pack to get me through winter. So damn creamy smooth this year!

One of the few Imperial Stouts I've found here:

The 10.2% is more than well hidden by the flavors of roast malt/coffee beans, sweet chocolate and dark fruit. A little lite and zippy feel-wise, but tasty nonetheless. Cheers!

It’s not Dutch, and I’ve had it before but love me some Black Albert!
