Lucky enough to be in the neighborhood after reading about Carillon Brewing on the Ba webpage.
(Visualize a flight of 1850’s vintage ales and the frustrated person trying to post a pic from a phone. )
    Very cool place.

I picked it up last week. It was canned 11/8/17, so it is REALLY fresh. Last be the series, and this one is no exception.

My wife is making me drink wine while waiting for this to cook. I cannot complain. Ate and drank good stuff the last four days. Looks different than the landscape angle I used. Any tech wizzards out there can explain why?

#2, I really like this - it’s a stout with Belgian yeast. Two birds with one stone.

Last supper before going back to work.
Organic salmon, rice pasta, spinach, Pernod, half & half, onions, garlic, turmeric, nutmeg, herbs de provence, salt, and pepper. (My take on Salmon Florentine.)

    Oh, yeah; and beer!
Ommegang Pale Sour Ale goes great with this dish.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Monday back to work. Pretty slow day overall, due to some people taking an additional day off. Got a good amount of stuff done though. After the massive weekend beer haul, I have a lot of work to do.

    Today's reviews:

Very good light lager. Nice head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors cracker, corn, white bread, and lightly toasted biscuit malts; with mild herbal, grassy, and light peppery Noble hops. A bit fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; nice bready/grainy malt mouthfeel; slight hop stickiness. Very refreshing, fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing bitter dryness. Very clean lager flavors, never fruity/yeasty. Very flavorful and not watery for 3.8%. Clean Pils/grainy corn flavors with solid hop balance. Very enjoyable and well made for the style. 3.78

Delicious dry stout. Amazing head retention and lasting thick lacing on the glass. Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark/brown bread, and light nutty/smoke/charred malts; with some herbal, grassy, peppery hops. Similar, but muted aromas. A tad fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal/grassy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; nice bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; light sticky hops and chalky char/roast. Increasing hop/char bitter dryness; never acrid/astringent. Very flavorful for 4.7%. Easy drinking. Really spot on for the style. Nicely rich English pale/roasted malts, balancing hops, and mild fruity yeast characteristics. 3.91

Nice fruited witbier. Nice head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of juicy/lightly tart raspberries, lemon, orange, pear, apple, and light pepper/clove yeast; with balanced wheat, cracker, biscuity malts; light herbal/grassy hop and yeasty earthiness. Light balanced fruit tartness, yeast spiciness, herbal/grassy bitterness, and wheat tang on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; nice bready/grainy wheat creaminess; slight fruit acidity, and hop/yeast stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing tart/bitter/spicy dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing, never watery feeling. Very well balanced between fruit, yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors. Nicely enjoyable, well made for the style. 3.68

Excellent IPA as expected. Great head retention and lasting dense soapy lacing on the glass. Quite hazy. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, mint, anise, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced bready creaminess and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very easy drinking, never overly aggressive. The ADHA 527 hops are really unique, but still delicious. Mix of juicy/dank fruity, citrus, earthy, and spicy hop complexity. Nice balancing malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Loved it. 4

Already last call for me here ba. Gotta pay for beer somehow. Second go with this bba version and enjoying it a bit more than the first time. I like how coffee forward it is but the barrel is still pretty light.
