The tents were bigger than you thought.

 

I went to Binny's LP the day after Black Friday and they had zero bottles of regular or barleywine left. They mentioned they were hoping to get more for this week.

 

I’ve been calling local / small stores. Lots of folks expecting shipments today and tomorrow. Many saving to release on Friday or weekend. Many do not know what they will be given.

 

Only one I know of is in Orland Park.

 

Jewel in Batavia had a dozen cases of Regular still going for $9.99 if that is of interested to anyone

 

No fucking way! If that’s the case, they’re creating a reserve variant called Reserve The Toilet if it’s being ran through those tap lines.

 

I'm wondering if anybody has opened a 2016 Coffee lately. I had one just last Friday, and both my girlfriend and myself agreed that the coffee was really muted, almost nonexistent. We've had 4-5 bottles of it over the last year, and those bottles tasted nothing like this last one.

We opened a 2017 Coffee the following afternoon, and were greeted by a huge espresso roast presence - much better!

 

Drank a ‘16 coffee a few weeks ago. It’s changed a lot since release....not for the better. Have 1 left and probably won’t wait on it. Similarly, prolly won’t wait on my ‘17 bottles too long either.

 

In Seattle on business. Went in to a total wine and they still had reg, BW, NW and coffee. Employee said “nobody wants it” lol

 

Did a '15 reg, '16 coffee, and '17 reg the other day. The '16 coffee was just ok. On the other hand, the '15 reg was really really good.

 

Further proving how dumb it all is.

 

If you are from the burbs, Orland is considered the south suburbs. Joliet, Shorewood, Bolingbrook, Plainfiend, now that's southwest. It's all about perspective though. At any rate, I doubt the guy that was driving the truck that I was talking about, is delivering anything near Orland.

I'm not saying this will be the case, but in years past there have been reports of coffee BCBS not being very good at the one year mark. Then it seems to come back after another year or so. Lots of reports previously of green pepper taste, no coffee, and so on at one year and then it went away. YMMV.

Yep, I said this in an earlier post. I cringe to even bring it up again, but that's precisely why a price hike won't work.

 

I'm assuming those bottles get priority in your bag before your clothes and other meaningless things.
