What beer are you drinking now? #1899

More Chimay, cheers!

 

This is January of a Year of Beer given to me by my brother-in-law. Each is wrapped and one assigned for each month. I’ll get a little Christmas each month...but he’s not a beer geek, so it’ll be interesting.

This one concerns me. Smells funny. 12% ABV?

Ugh! Hopefully the rest of the beers he gives you this year is better than that. I tried that one years ago and it was not good at all. Well, not bad enough that I couldn't finish the bottle, but still bad enough that I remember it for being bad.

 

Having the last SOS @PatrickCT sent me and pan frying steaks because as much as I love to grill, -8 degree weather keeps me inside.

 

First new beer of the new year and I am loving the big whiskey and oak flavor in this one.

 

Brought this from home & when I finish it I'll be done for the day. I've got an early start to the work day tomorrow.

Still very green, canned on 12/28, but this is a lot better than I remember it being. Very citric. Cheers.

I just went into my refrigerator, and my 2-year-old daughter asked for one of Daddy's "dinosaur waters." (There is a lot of King Sue in the refrigerator.). I told her she would not like how that tastes, and Daddy needed the "plant water" to drink with the super moon, because Daddy is feeling the call of the wintermoon.. once again.
