That sucks, we got Winter Ale last year in Davis...This year nada. Kern distro here has been as limited and mixed freshness. Assuming it's distributor issues...

Not so much a huge disappointment, but I'm really bummed Yorkshire Square's kitchen isn't open. When I went to their opening, that was half of the selling point for me: British style cask ales and pub food. The food trucks have been good, but still...

Is MT still doing expensive bottles with no discounts for club members?

Shit like this makes me pissed because I had stopped buying any beer I still had previous vintages of. Now I'm out of Sucaba and have a single 22oz Parabola left

My biggest disappointment was the keg of Alpine Duet I "special ordered" through my old keg spot that came in 3 months old. I was so frustrated with the whole ordeal that I've stopped shopping at that spot and will be returning everything I have a depot on with them later this month

I've got plenty of Parabola in 22oz bottles from previous years. If you're looking for a bottle or two, maybe we could find something to trade?

I thought the only reason people went to Smog was because they tried to go to Monkish, but the parking lot was full?

Call me crazy, but I go to Smog City because the beer is consistently good

as much as i hate to say it, i secretly wish the bruery would just take the bud (or insert other large company) money and go away. nothing special from them recently IMO. not that i seek em out either.............. puts on flame suit.

I think there are two really positive things I can say about Bruery right now. First, I feel that there membership this year is shaping up to be one of the best. The included beers are solid, and they do a better job then anyone I've encountered taking care of their members.

Secondly, I thought this year's PB & Thursday tasted better fresh than any other year. I'm hoping this is a start of an upswing that lasts for 2018!

Nothing better from Smog than super-fresh-Amarillo-Gorilla. Had it at one day old, and I was floored. Infinite Wishes is still the best kept bourbon barrel secret stout to me. And I keep missing Chip Shot growler fills. :slight_frown:

I just never go to the Torrance location anymore since Steelcraft opened up.

I've been hearing this from multiple people. I've heard it's pretty damn tasty.

Anyway, my biggest disappointment this year was probably last year's Preservation Society boxes from the Bruery. Didn't like any but two of their beers. I've been teasing myself about just upgrading instead, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. The good part is that I've got friends that will help with that.

Oh, and there's also Guided Meditation from Monkish/Tired Hands. Yeah, no.

Smog is still the go to spot when me, the wife and friends want to go have some beers and bs for a few hours. I think it has most consistently drinkable, approachable beers in the South Bay. Something for everyone.

Apologies for getting to the party late, I don't get on BA enough. The kitchen still doesn't have a opening date or even a start of construction date but there is progress since last you inquired. We're in talks with a food truck operator to run our kitchen and build out plans *should* be submitted for review before the end of February.

I hear you on the food trucks. Scheduling them sucks and its bizarre to have such extreme menu shifts from one day to the next. Plus, people get super bummed about XYZ food truck not being there on a day that works for them.

The best I can do for now is keep the beer list interesting.
