    Avery Fimbulvvinter, Rum BA Quad, 16.9% ABV. Pours deep red with a slight off-white head. Aroma is yeasty and rum. Taste is fruity, and very sweet, with no bitterness noted, and a nutty aftertaste. Excellent mouthfeel. Overall nearly excellent. The taste of the base quad and the rum were mostly hidden by the cloying sweetness, reminiscent of stablemate Rumpkin.

    I was just about to sit down with a second pouring of this one, and watch Guns N Roses Appetite for Democracy - Live at the Hard Rock Casino.

    Well, I instantly cleared 2HR, 35MIN and 56SEC of space off my DVR when I immediately realized the absence of Slash, among others. DELETE. Should've known better.

    Back to the pre game show it is.

    My girlfriend's mother is half-Swedish and visited Stockholm just before visiting us for Christmas, so she brought me a few bottles over, the others being Sitting Bulldog from Gotlands and the New Sweden IPA from Oppigårds.

    This specific beer I think is good, just fine, nothing special to write home about, but nothing wrong with it either. Would love to sit outside in the Swedish summer months and have a half dozen of them -- perfect beer for that.
