Keeping things light on the beer front, going heavy on the music front. Looking forward to seeing these guys next Wednesday. Saw them last year but wasn't feeling them then. Plus, all my attention was on Graves at Sea that night, one of my absolute favorite bands. Now, though, I am really digging these guys and expecting to really enjoy their set.

This beer is special. One of the best single hopped IPAs I’ve ever had. The pic doesn’t even do it justice.

A little different than the previous batch we rec'd last month.
Less tropical fruit aroma and flavor and a bit more pine.

This is their attempt at lawn mower beer. Kind of like what La Cumbre is going for with their BEER. Both completely succeed at what they are going for, IMO. This is definitely a light, session beer but it is super clean, bone dry, and with subtle flavor and aromatics from the yeast, malt, and hops.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, marshmallow, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an amazing creamy/silky/velvety medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad it was easier to find this year. Definitely my top favorite coconut beer, but there are plenty others I buy more often. Wish this was year round. I bought a full case worth of 4 packs this year. This, Born Yesterday, and Xocoveza are my top big buy beers of the season every year now.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with some light honeyed, biscuity malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied/carbonation; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous/rindy and never astringent. Increasing drying finish. Super juicy stuff. Grabbed a 3 packs this season. Holds up really well over a few months. A top favorite harvest ale every year.

Amazing saison! One of my top favorites. Had Ginnepin a while ago, and wasn't as impressed. This one is still what I remember. Flavors of lemon, peach, pear, orange peel, red apple, melon, coriander, peppercorn, ginger, and light banana/clove yeast/spices; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; herbal, floral, grass and yeasty earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness, herbal/grassy/citrus peel bitterness; and light wheat tang/tartness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy/silky wheat creaminess and yeast/hop/spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Moderately increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness. Refreshingly smooth. Amazing complexity with perfectly balanced yeast and spice flavors; on a solid wheat/pale malt backbone. Surprisingly light and dry feeling for 7.7%. World class stuff. Glad I was able to find a pack a few months ago, seems to be harder to find lately.

Delicious DIPA! Glad they brought this back, tastes better than I remember. Flavors of huge pineapple, mango, melon, peach, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel/rind, and pine hops; with balancing honey and lightly toasted bread malt sweetness; with herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied with balanced bready creaminess and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel; lightly slick. Increasing resin/rind dryness; minimal hop astringency. Super juicy and dank, and less intense on the malt sweetness than my review indicates from 2014. I will definitely buy more soon, at least as singles. Their newer IPA/DIPA batches have improved since the addition of the whirlpool in their process a couple years ago. Better clarity and crisp/drying mouthfeel.
