The only reason I bought it was because you spoke so highly about it, so I didn't have any expectations, but I liked it. Very easy to drink for 7 % and more fruity than I thought it would be. Good stuff!

In the eternal "coffee vs juice" debate, juice wins out today.

I am enjoying some paid time off. I am also drinking some Paid Time Off. This is my favorite Madonna song. Followed closely by my 2nd favorite Madonna song.

Another coffee for the morning. Apparently beer doesn't help reading comprehension, because until today, I thought this was named Abracadabra. Color me Duhr.

Okay, I'll play the Material Girl song game (sorry, @PatrickCT, @cjgiant, and @Lingenbrau, I have no Madonna on vinyl for Saturday). First is a known hit from the last millennium.

This is a more obscure "newer" song that is really amazing.

    Thanks for the question, @Ray9230.

First night of a short week in the books. Now time for beer...not recycled photos, but this is quickly becoming an obsession:

Does anyone know what yeast strain Barrel of Monks uses? The more I drink of Three Fates, I am inclined to say De Dolle. However, the slight tartness I perceive could simply be the result of using a good portion of wheat in the grist. Other than that, my next guesses would be Westmalle, Duvel or St. Bernardus.

I hope another BA can help a brother out...Cheers!

@DoctorZombies, thanks for the inspiration (and the fact I have more of this one than any other Founders in the cellar right now). Such an awesome beer. It is special if it's released once a year, but you're right. I wouldn't complain if we could buy it year round.

Staying with my non Madonna video posts for the day-I saw Oasis on 8/27/96 (thank you, Wikipedia), and like with this performance, Liam wasn't there because of a "sore throat". Thankfully, Noel is a much better singer, and probably not as big an arse as his brother.

I had some of their imperial stouts or baltic porters last year and was surprised.

I'm not having a beer right now, but if I were, odds are it would be an IPA. I just want to take this moment to acknowledge my error in judgment last night. The virtual bar is something I enjoy very much. It should never be used as a means to air out dirty laundry, when in fact, there's no laundry to air. In a nutshell, I care too much about what others think. I've always been this way. I let that, along with too many beers, cause to me to go on a rant. Those who have been around long enough know that I have no ill will towards anyone. It's time to go back to seeing the good in people, because it's not for me to judge. I have way too many skeletons in my own closet. Now, let's get on to the business of posting good beers. LARRRGE...

Well, it's late February and the temp's nearing 60 today, with all 40's and 50's in the next several days, so I wouldn't be surprised if we've seen the last of snow for the year - though sometimes March offers up a surprise or two...

Sketchbook Orange Door DDH IPA with a pork quesadilla for lunch. Yes I’m eating off my kids fisher price table. I didn’t want to take the tarp off our deck table yet. Man it’s nice today. 65 or so and sunny. May be my first time eating lunch on the deck in a T-shirt in February.

    Cheers!
